It really doesn't matter if it was 5 tickets or 500 hundred, the odds are still bad. 1 ticket for PB = 1 in 175,223,510 5 tickets for PB 1 in 35,044,702 500 tickets for PB 1 in 350,447 Which one of those odds is even mildly 'good'? I don't know how I forgot to play 0123 and 6789 today. I wanted to play 6789 because of Long Odds earlier post. And then I did the 9999-6789=3210 It's crazy. I'm sitting there reading Long Odds post about 6789, I'm reading about sum 21 and 30. Plus GA had 1312 last night which made me like the 0123 more. Then I go out and I just forget all about playing it. Another crazy thing: 1231 played in the mid and 9888 played in the eve on Aug 8, 2014

Powerball being $2 will probably have higher record jackpots though, we'll see. Each PB ticket puts about twice as much cash in the jackpot prize pool as each MM ticket, and the new odds will be about 1.13 times steeper than MM odds. That means that over the long term the average jackpot should be about 2.2 times bigger than the average MM jackpot. The same should be true for the biggest jackpot in any sufficiently long period of time. The only real problem with a simple calculation like

Oh, I definitely understand what they're trying to convey here but, is it not an increasing progression of failure at some point? I mean, I can respect players like yourself who are only looking for a cool second tier prize plus maybe the multiplier and you're as happy as a pig in a mud bath. However, by increasing the field, they can surely increase the second tier prize but it also makes it just that much harder to win it...it's still progressive. You're absolutely right - 1:3.82 are odds more in line with a ten dollar ticket, not a twenty five dollar ticket! Just seems to be getting worse. And I would guess that there are quite a few buyers who are oblivious to these odds and just keep on buying the newer tickets. If more buyers did their research I bet there'd be a decline in sales. You are correct the title of 3 of the tickets you mentioned are former pa tickets. Lucky dog, double match and super cash are all pa tickets.... Funny thing is the odds are better for your state than ours. I have yet to see a pa $5 ticket with odds under 1- 4.00 And the day we get a $10 ticket with a million dollar prize will prob never happen.our super cash ticket is a $20 ticket in pa, which I have had good luck on multiple times a few $250 and $500 winners. but pa still sucks IMO.

I have only been playing about 2 years and I have noticed the odds getting worse and worse since then even. GA loves to put out $10 tickets that have great odds to win $100, but those tickets are so bad. I stick to the older $10 tickets still out and I have much better luck on them. I win $50 way more often than I win $100. I'd say I have only won $100 5 times, but I have won $50 like 10-20 times. I played a $20 Fast Bucks #009 and lost. Funny G5 was just at store a lady bought one of every drawing, I ask her if she only got qp's she said, yes. cause they come in more. I noticed when she bought a scratch off and she bought the worse one according to the odds.someone who plays the scratch offs should know which tickets give the best odds, all scratch offs are not created equal.
