What is the best way to win the lottery?
100 million here, 100 million there... why quibble? The odds are so astronomically high, it doesn't matter if you X out 100 million... that was the point of my joke. I live in a town of about 125,000 people. I tell people playing these big games that you have a better chance of running into someone randomly on the street; then opening a phone book (they still make those, don't they?) and flipping to a page and dropping your finger and landing on that same person's name (people still have

Not sure where to put this question (D3)...
This is the fascinating illusion of numbers that this game runs on. Any three numbers - forget all the low/high, 01/89, etc. - any three numbers account for 71% of the available singles boxes, and 53% of the doubles. Hence, if you think a double's coming up following a single, you have just a hair's better chance of basing that double on one of the last single's digits, than not. But just a hair. (However, going from double to double, you have a 47% chance of the digit repeating - a hair's wo

Poll: New National Game October 19th - Will You Play?
As you all know, the new national game by MUSL, MONOPOLY Millionaires' Club, is launching October 19th and will draw once weekly on Friday nights. The game is RNG, and players choose (or QP) 5 from 52 balls; the secondary bonus pool features 1 from 28 Monopoly properties and will be quick pick-only. It will cost $5 per ticket, feature annuity jackpots between $15 million and $25 million (top odds around 1 in 72.8 million), and claims the potential for hundreds of millionaire Club winners (minimu

Testing Florida Mid
What do ya think Bob? Think those digit 0's have burned themselves out for a few draws? Noticed out of the last 10 midday draws all contained a ZERO except for 2 draws! Things fade in and out ......and I am thinking the zeros are gonna rest a little. LOL The last 5 draws in a row were zero numbers too. 6 zeros in a row is a reach for sure. If and when they fade back around.... odds are they will be an even sum......... because they ALL are. LOL Odds are ...the winner will hi

How to Unseat Stack47 & Sergem from their Perch!
Maybe it's never occurred to me to look highly on that random result because 56.25% was well within the first standard deviation from the expected 50.00%. Just the fact you said expected 50% proves you don't have a clue how to apply a mathematical house edge. But than again, you're always quoting Don Calin and his clear as mud explanation of leaving a place bet ON for a come out roll as an example, is probably the reason for some of your confusion. Yes, if the seven is rolled on the co

Another lottery secret revealed
You, are absolutely 100% correct! Think about it. What do most players, (myself included) usually do? We start off with a large group of numbers to play. Could be 50, 75, 100, doesn't matter. We all think to ourselves, I don't want to play/spend that much . So what do we do? We start filtering down till we get the list down to within our budget. Could be 5, 10, 25 numbers. Doesn't matter. What we, (and I mean everyone) does, is we start making choices. I like this, I don't like that. Singles or

Monopoly Millionaires's Rule posted
bobby, I was wondering about the Club prize drawing too. I also inferred that they would draw from the pool of tickets, rather than simply generate another set of numbers....this is nice because winners are actually guaranteed unlike PB and MM (which technically have no guarantees). I understand now that this is what the developers meant that it would be a hybrid game, combining elements from draw games and scratch-off games. The cap for me is just a peeve....little to do with how much one

Cash 4Life
Lucky4 Life changed it's matrix (and became a lot harder to win) on Sept 19, 2013. It originally had 40 white balls, and 21 green or lucky balls. It now has 43 white balls, and 43 lucky balls.Odds are now 41,391,714 to 1 to win a $7,000 per week jackpot. Odds are 985,517 to 1 for a second place win of $25,000 a year for life. (Can be pari-mutuel too depending upon the number of winners) There are also lump sum cash options available in lieu of the for life periodic payments. Interest
