Oklahoma man arrested after trying to redeem forged lottery ticket
I'd hate to be in prison, although I've read those minimum security Federal facilities aren't too bad, all things considered...a chance to further your education, nobody convicted of violent crimes jailed with you and more privileges. They don't have fences, but the guys don't try to escape because if they do and are caught, they're sent to a maximum security prison...where the other inmates (and guards/correctional officers) aren't nearly as nice . Texas prisons are horrible...but Oklahoma pris

It is so nice to know that the Idaho lottery retailers passed the security and integrity criteria. At least, people would be secure of the integrity of the lottery games. I just hope that every lottery retailers across United States will aslo pass the security and integrity criteria.

NY lottery winner charged with welfare fraud
Many people confuse Supplement Security Income with regular Social Security disability. SSI was started by the Nixon administration to supplement the state's welfare burden. It's meant for people over age 65, blind, or disabled adults and children with limited income resources. SSI is not paid for by Social Security taxes. SSI is paid for by U.S. Treasury general funds, not the Social Security trust funds. SSI has become very lucrative for the legal profession and many lawyers have commercial

2nd Powerball winner from Rhode Island announced
, Kumo, however, it is still disheartening when someone decides to breach one's security and all of the alarms are going off. Especially when nobody is found, and security has nothing left to do other than occupy a couple of chairs in your house while you 'try' to sleep, just in case the unfound intruder is still on your grounds!

Iowa Lottery security chief bent on determining identity of jackpot winner
You know I think Cletus is right. I think this lottery agency and its security dept had plans for that money. I demand an investigation of all executive, administrative, and SECURITY management personnel immediately for the people of the great State of Iowa. All salaries and benefits suspended until a third party investigation has been completed and concluded that there are no improprieties found.

North Carolina: 7/1 - 7/31/2010
I just went to the lottery website and clicked on contact, then lottery security. Called the toll free number, guy answered immediately. When I complained, he said they were not aware on any issue and I was the only person complaining about the video. I think everyone should start calling security until we get an answer.

Proposal would rename N.C. education lottery
You are absolutely correct, Todd. If the states lawmakers sit idely by and do nothing, it won't stop there. On a national level, one of the reasons the Social Security system is being threaten now, is because of congress doing the same thing with those surplus funds, approximately, 75 billion dollars each year, that was 20 years ago. Think about that number, multiplied times 20. The people would never, ever have to worry about social security.

You can also choose in your Security Center (Notify me but don't automatically download or install them) that way you get information on the updates and you choose which you prefer to install. Most of the updates are very important for the security of your cumpter. Hope this helps.

Employee hacks into online poker site
Typically, employees who point out a security problem are treated as though they are a security problem. If you know how something can be stolen, you must be thinking about stealing it. That you brought it to their attention is not evidence that you are trying to help, just evidence that you are not very smart. The one who smelt (smelled) it, dealt it . Easier to swat the whistle-blower than to fix the problem.
