Florida Lottery's repeat winners don't always come out ahead
Lucky Loser,
From the other side of the pit, roulette is a pain to deal because it attracts so many systems (odd / even, black / red, etc...) and cheats, mostly past posters and past posters teamed with a blocker or blockers.
As far as odds go, of course they're a lot better on roulette. The house edge for almost all the bets is 5.26% and Pick 3 is much more than that.
When the casinos put those poles next to the wheels that track the last spins roulette revenue went up 23%.
Just as

Florida Lottery's repeat winners don't always come out ahead
In my opinion, this is the best response thus far...and I've mentioned the first word in the fourth sentence here many, many times regarding Pick 3. A player can simply put together one or two formats, which will contain all the numbers minus strategic filtering, and come out ahead with patience because the formats must absolutely be drawn at some point. Most players really don't start with enough numbers from the get go...and wonder why the numbers never hit.
This is a game of starting with

ohio rolling cash 5
I have no idea about books, but I'll tell you how I play Ohio's Rolling Cash 5. It is the only lottery game I play because it has the best odds for any game with a decent payout.
1) Play all 39 numbers... every day. You can't win the jackpot if the 5 winning numbers aren't among the numbers that you play. Playing all 39 numbers will cost you $8 per day. This leaves you with only having to get the right 5 numbers to align in the same play together. But at least you will have all 5 winning numb

Congrats to akll winners....
I never play 919 as it has only came out 3 times in the history of the lottery before today. To big of a gamble and very bad odds too.
Played 119 and also 5027, which missed by 1 again, nothing new there either... NCEL is back to their tricks in pick 4..The same number just backwards...The odds are what?????Out of this world...I LOVE 0572 for tonight....
lets try and see what we can do tonight. Doubles are way over the average right now, i think about 4

Which odds are better?
The smoker spending almost $4000 per year on cigarettes has one advantage over a lottery player spending almost $4000 per year on lottery tickets. The smoker has a better chance of dying early, thus missing out on the opportunity to still be working at 75 because they don't have any money to retire with.
If you spent $300 playing MM every month during a 40 year career you'd spend a total of $144,000.
If the odds remained the same over the entire 40 year period:
If 1220 people all did t

Anyone else find the jump in MM j/p surprising?
Organized crime knew that over time if they paid $600 to $1 odds on a game with 1000 chances, they would make 40% profit on every bet they took and created the numbers racket. The state governments legalized that and other games of chance by promising the revenues would benefit all the residence of the state. Almost all the state lotteries get a 50% profit by only paying $500 to $1 and designed Lotto and other games with about the same or higher profit percentage. The multi-state games like PB a

Bullseye!
I'll say this and then sign off 'til next time. The desire of money is funny, powerful, and can be evil causing people do things they wouldn't normally do. It's the way money is perceived in terms of what its' intended overall use is destined to be. See, we can try too hard to make, find, and win money in life. In terms of these big games, people try waaaaaayyy too hard to win when they see the amount to be won steadily rising. The problem here is that the ODDS OF WINNING STILL REMAIN THE SAME..

Buying More Tickets Does Not Increase Your Odds.
THE SHOTGUN PLAYING METHOD.
HITTING THE TARGET.
when a shotgun is fired all those pellets that are crammed into the cartridge spread out so it's easier to hit the target.
Yes you can increase your chances of winning by buying more tickets, but every single ticket will go against the Odds of the particular game.
Thrifty is right, each individual ticket (one line of numbers) is up against the very same odds, 175,000,000 to one.

Buying More Tickets Does Not Increase Your Odds.
OK then Todd....with over 123,000 member here surely you could each go a buck and 'halve' the odds 123,000 times.......oh wait, that would only reduce the number of possible combinations by 123,000.
I don't know what kind of 'contraints of mathematics' you are using, but 175,000,000 minus 123,000 will always = 174,877,000.
The point being made is that each ticket is up against the same odds, no matter how many you buy.
We ain't seen a jackpot yet out of anyone that believes otherwise.
