Brainstorming using Smart Luck Advantage Plus
Hi Perdue:
With all due respect to Gail Howard and your well meant efforts to create this thread, I can't help but to get annoyed when I see statements such as the one you quoted from the author's book:
Anytime you can combine choice with chance, you can improve the odds. --pg 17
Nothing can be farther from the truth than statements such as these. The odds never but ever change in any lottery game that closely emulates a random selection process - no matter how you make your selec

Which is your game of choice?
I chose p-3. I'll play about 5 bucks a week on it.
I play about 3 bucks a week on Fantasy five here in Florida.
Maybe a buck on PB once every 2 weeks. The odds are rediculous, so if I win I'll just need one ticket. Buying a hundred dollars on a game which has 195 million possible outcomes won't make a difference.
I have this debate about winners at work all the time, with the same folks...unbelievable....
They keep telling me that some one wins just about every draw so that's why the

Incredible and inaccurate hype - European profesor
Exactly, in WV6/25 the odds of a number from the previous draw not repeating in the next is only 15%. While in the FL6/53 the odds of a number from the previous draw not repeating in the next is roughly 48%.
So eliminating the possible repeating numbers is a good bet half of the time in the Florida 6/53 and not so good a bet in the WV6/25.
In all lottery games there are many many more ways to lose then there are ways to win even the minimal prize. I forget the exact number, in 6/4

These odds are killing me!! I demand another Mega jackpot game!!
If you search through my posts, I wrote that a lower odds game with a lower Jackpot will make more money over the long run by attracting more players through more frequent wins because of the lowered odds.
I'd like to say regarding PB and MM that if we cut each of the four number fields in half and halved the Prize amounts, the game would be MUCH more exciting as well as PLAYABLE and generate TEN times more revenue for all States. But I don't think the lotto powers that be would for for that.

keno should be easier to win than p-3
Appreciate the acknowlegement response John,
Of course, by conventional math these odds are accurate but the fun trial concept I listed above is intended to project above standard expectaion.
And if out of the box solutions to beat the odds, seem interesting, it's easy to verify by simply back checking against past performances see !

I don't know about that site.
For instance, for Kentucky it says the best $10 game out there is Jumbo Bucks.
But I know from experience (meaning it has cost me a lot of money!) that it is by far the worst $10 game out there.
I have *never* hit more than $15 on it, while I'm hitting 50 after 50 after 100 on other games.
Even the Lottery's webpage states the odds: 1:3.55. Some $5 scratchers have better odds than that. (Cashtastic, 1:3.13 comes to mind)
Other $10 games range between

Money Matters 101
The vigorish for playing pick-3 online is 10% and around 5% for casino roulette and 1.62% just betting the pass or don't pass lines using free odds playing craps. They say with a sound card counting method and hitting strategy, the odds in blackjack actually favor the player. Comparing the risk/rewards of playing 600 pick-3 numbers to playing red on the roulette wheel, your method is getting better coverage (60% vs 47.3%) but your return is only 50% where on red it's 100%. In 100 drawings you ca

Odds Of Game
Normal Pick-3 is ten digits, the straight odds are 10x10x10=1000
Your Pick-9 is 5x5x5x5x5x5x5x5x5=1,953,125
On the other hand it could be viewed as getting your Pick-3 straight three times in a row. 5x5x5=125 x 125 x 125 = 1,953,125
So your odds are roughly 1 in 2 million.
Are there any lower tier prizes for 3 numbers or more and less than 9?
Good luck. BobP
