Annuity or Cash??
Cash. The Government has already borrowed all the money out of Social Security and replaced it with IOU's. They are constantly searching for new sources of revenue to borrow money from. I wouldn't want my jackpot just sitting there tempting those thieving sob's. Gimme the cash - now.

Indiana man says store cost him $11.5M lottery jackpot
That's my only hope to make more money than what my Social Security pays me, he said. Sounds like this guy started planning his retirement a little late and foolishly if he was depending on winning a lottery jackpot.

Sisters' lottery jackpot trial begins today
I'm a little peeved at the Social Security Administration. When they started it they promised the money would be kept separate and never touched for anything other than benefits paid to retirees. It's now empty, broke and bankrupt, full of nothing but worthless IOU's from a broke and bankrupt government. They lied and stole all the money. I'm a little mad about that. Does that end my agreement? But I'm sure they're not lying about anything in the new healthcare bill. I trust them comple

Could the Lottery offical do this??
That is why when these games go to computer drawings that can become a very real scenario. They have all the info they need to make a rollover (or anything else) happen if they wanted to. It is all at their finger tips. Have the computer check what has been bought vs. what they want the computer to spit out, all without anyone being the wiser. With balls involved it makes this a much tougher feat to accomplish, but once you take away the balls, any bit of security, integrity and legitimacy flies

Virginia man claims $200M Mega Millions lottery jackpot
iGlenn: Same here with crossing state lines. Even though I would have to pay alot more in taxes by buying an out of state lottery, it is a small price to pay in the short term for safety and security in the long term for my family and me.

Remaining anonymous
I would agree that a lawyer and a good accountant would be a good idea but when I ask myself whether or not I would really do that, I realize that I would not want to blow that rare one chance at financial security for myself and my family so I would probably sign the ticket immediately, hop into a car and be at the claims office first thing in the morning. Probably not the wisest thing to do but I would be so afraid that something would go wrong such as a lost or stolen ticket, I would want the

How To Win At Chance Games
This happened in Germany. Several guys with guns, grenades, and machettes robbed a poker tournament and seemingly no one got killed. One robber got captured, but later rescued by his partners while being held on the floor. Security had two guys on break and the ones at the games seems not to have weapons. They resorted to throwing things at the robbers. They got away and the tournament went on. Neat way to win at a chance game.

Didn't Play The Lottery Insurance
Lloyd's of London has insured a model's legs before. All that needs to happen is that someone who has $250,000 to put into escrow incorporates as an insurance company (the escrow is needed to register as an insurance company), writes the policy and then resell the derivative on the open market as securities to the likes of Lloyd's of London. The people buying the securities will only be concerned about the rating of the security and that would depend on how the derivative has been packaged and u

Man pleads guilty to altering lottery ticket
A Buffalo, New York, man has admitted he altered a Mega Millions lottery ticket to make it look he'd won a $252 million jackpot. The New York Lottery today announced that as a result of an investigation by the Lottery's Security Unit in cooperation with the New York State Police and the Erie County District Attorney's Office, 26-year-old Yann Spindler of Buffalo, entered a plea of guilty to charges of attempted Grand Larceny in the fourth degree, in connection with an altered Mega Millions ti
