Why is keno so hard to win?
Keno isn't necessarily that hard to win. But, since fewer people play the game, the top prize winners aren't always given media attention.
The game is played with different matrices in different areas, altering the odds of winning. As an example, in its most popular form, 20 numbers are drawn from a pool of 80 numbers. The odds of hitting 10 of 10 in this game are 1::8.911,711.18. The Michigan Daily Drawing game draws 22 numbers from an 80 number pool - the odds of hitting 10 of 10 in this ga

Help Please
Yes, it is possible to have 5 out of 35 correct with the odds being 1 in 324,632. If you knew that 5 within the 20 numbers that hit, that's leaving you 1 in 15,504. Wheeling is the best way, however you must narrow down your numbers even further to say 10 (1 in 252) - 12 (1 in 792) numbers for better odds. In lottorey odds are agaisnt you, so having good odds on your side is the first logic way to play. You can wheel the 10 - 12 numbers and select the best from the wheel based upon your play bud

Worst odds ever
I was looking at the jackpots of the world and noticed the Italian Superenalotto with a high prize (64M Euro) and looked into it. It's a 6 of 90 game. That means the odds are 1 in 622 million. Helps to put even Megamillions into perspective although once you pass 1:1 million it's all very unlikely. You get two tries for 1 Euro but even with that I can't imagine a game with worse odds. Even Keno and slots look good by comparison.

NEWBIE ... please be gentle
That's because you're using 100 as the pool instead of 10. The odds calculator will give you box odds not straight for Pick-3/4. If you do Pick-3 and put in 3 picked from a pool of 10 with 3 drawn it will give you 1 in 120 the boxed odds, no doubles no triples. So for Pick-2 put in 2 picked from a pool of 10 with 2 drawn it will give you 1 in 45 the boxed odds discarding the mirror combinations and doubles. BobP

The payout on matching 4/5 on michigans Fantasy 5 is too LOW!
I actually thought of this as well. Most of the prizes are 10% of the odds. Odds of $1 are about 1 in 10. Odds of $10 are about 1 in 100. The 4 of 5 numbers prize should be around $300 because the odds I believe are 1 in 3300. I don't know why it is so low for.
