Superstitions?
I just know that the games I win on are the smaller ones. Jackpots like PB or MM have such high odds, but I have still won in the hundreds in those games. I wish they would shut up though. But once a clerk gave me a tip about the raffle game and said that winners were going to be in the southern part of the state mostly, definitely not in the pan handle and he was right!

Which gives me a better chance of winning a lottery?
In Raffle games they express odds as chances to win because they have multiple jackpots. If a state sells 500,000 raffle tickets and has four $1 million prizes, each ticket has 1 chance to win out of every 125,000 chances. In Mega Millions if you buy 100 tickets, you have 100 chances to win so out of every 1.75 million chances you have 1 chance. And it can be expressed as odds.
There are 3,904,701 combinations with the 56 white balls and if you bought all those combinations, the odds would 1

Mega Millions 2008
MegaMillions ticket sales are down compare to this recent 330 jackpot. If this thing shatters the record jackpot of over 390 or not, 220 is large. Throw out the odds calculator and consider Mega a raffle game, someone going to do some big-boy-toy shopping.

Florida Lottery GONE A BIT TOO FAR
I can't see myself ever paying that much for a scratch-off. It was hard enough for me to spend $10 to buy raffle tickets. I wouldn't plop down $30 to buy any ticket.

coincedence ?
Has anyone else noticed that just before and just after a raffle in Michigan that the Fantasy 5 Jackpots roll and get big?

New Year's Eve lottery raffles from around the USA
I don't like carrying around bad karma, so I apologize for my comments about the raffle. Although I will always be skeptical until the day I win, perhaps I was being a little bit over the top. I just get so sick and tired of spending so much and nothing but lose lose lose. So I am ready for the win win win, as I already had enough of the former.

What the Heck? PA's Web Site!
Yeah I got the same thing! It works now though. For a second I thought I was important and they banned me from the site for bad-mouthing the raffle.

$1M Wisconsin lottery ticket sold on 'Miracle Mile'
I had two tickets in the WI raffle but they were from the Milwaukee area and Appleton area. I struck out. I know people who drive to or through WI all the time. Next time I'll ask them to stop in Fond du Lac!

$1M Wisconsin lottery ticket sold on 'Miracle Mile'
On New Year's Day, Phil Moses was atop a ladder, putting some big news up on the marquis outside Ma Pa's Grocery Express in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
Another winning $1 million lottery ticket was sold at the legendary little store located at 506 S. Main St., along a strip dubbed The Miracle Mile.
I don't want to sound arrogant, Phil quipped, but I seriously don't understand why people buy lottery tickets at any other location.
A $100,000 winning ticket was also sold at Pick 'n Sa
