Fake Instagram account offers phony Florida Lottery giveaways
Includes video report
The Florida Lottery is warning players about social media scams and fake accounts offering money and other prizes.
Florida resident Jason Farmer received a message from what he thought was the Florida Lottery Instagram account.
Next thing they're telling me 'well we have this promotion that we're giving way $500,000 and a new truck.' So at that very moment I really thought it was likely a scam, Farmer said.
It was just an account with a similar name and similar

Sweepstakes, lottery scams cost Americans more than $111 million in 2017
None lately on Facebook. Had two though that they allegedly work for Publisher's Clearing House and I friended them. Then the same spiel would come that I won $250K and needed my name and address to where to send the check to. I said the real PCH has my name and address and that this was a scam. You talk about some angry folks.
Same for alleged California Lottery employees. I'd play along for a while then say, lying like they do, that the CA lottery does not know who you are.

Sweepstakes, lottery scams cost Americans more than $111 million in 2017
A new study reveals sweepstakes, lottery and prize-related scams cost Americans millions of dollars each year. The Better Business Bureau calls these schemes some of the most serious and pervasive frauds operating today.
In the past three years, the group says more than 460,000 Americans have reported losing a total of over $330 million to such scams.
The Better Business Bureau says these crooks are professionals. They might take advantage of someone in your family, and they can be very c

With promise of $1.5m prize, scam artist bilks woman out of nearly $28,000
It would seem to me the real greedy ones are the scammers. She thought she hit the big one. That doesn't make her greedy. Isn't that why we all play the lottery? We play the lottery so that makes us greedy ?
Whatever.
My mother, before she passed, had brain cancer, and she was extremely smart and educated. But she is one who probably would have fallen for this scam after she became sick.
And no, she wasn't the greedy type.

The fact of the matter is New Ticket Tuesday just passed....they have PILES of $$ to give out right now (That is why you had 2 almost 500k payouts back-to-back) and after next week, it will be all downhill again till next month. I ALWAYS have seen this same pattern month after month for the past 6 years of doing this. You peeps DO realize you pay for each and every trip and decent number that falls with a 300k+ payout.........right? ............it is called repeats and garbage and delayed #'s l

Speculation begins about NJ winner of Mega Millions lottery
I've been a bit confused reading through everyone's comments. I mean what are we talking about here. I see people talking about security cameras but the original posting only said that the NJ lottery commission hasn't asked for the footage which I doubt they will unless no one calls or makes an attempt to claim this prize as the window reaches it's end. Although going by what the store owner said the regular is more than likely to be someone who plays often which means they check to see if they

More millennials than seniors losing money to scams
First, I'm a cranky old curmudgeon!
Lemme just say that I aint ever been scammed, but more importantly, I aint ever gonna get scammed because I watch too much American Greed on CNBC. (I aint got nuthin else to do with my time, 'cept play the lottery)
The sentence immediately above to the aside, I'm always shocked when I see how easy it is for a con artist to give a big fat haircut to some poor unsuspecting innocent person. As we've watched the show, I've often wondered aloud to my wife if

Court hears arguments on $559M lottery winner's plea to remain anonymous
There are probably a few that would try to scam or harm a winner for their money.
Again, people that got into trouble after winning a jackpot are usually ones that couldn't keep quiet, that blabbed about it, and, or hung out with a bad crowd of friends .
Yes, if I won a huge jackpot, I would claim anonymously. But, before Texas changed the law, I certainly wouldn't have been afraid to claim a jackpot with people finding out about it. It's being smart and not going out of my way to attract

Lottery Partner
Please do not make any more solicitations on this website for private partners . Lottery Post is not a recruiting tool for something that may well be a scam.
Solicitations are not allowed through private messages either, so please do not resort to that.
This website is a place where people do share and create strategies, but they do it here on the forums.
Private solicitations are almost scams. Even if the person posting the solicitation swears up and down that it isn't.
