The Gambling Bill - Any chance of turning it around?
Boy, people are really steamed about Bush signing that on-line gambling bill today. I hate that congress has become so crass as to hide that bill inside the Port Security Bill. I almost wish Bush had vetoed it. The very idea of tying the two together so that anyone who didn't vote for the bill because of a difference of opinion regarding on-line gambling would be accussed of being soft on National Security. Man, will this kind of creative legislating ever end.
Did anyone see Mike Sexton,

Okla. lawmaker aims to stop lottery winners from staying anonymous
I personally can't wait for the issue to be resolved once and for all. Eventually a winner will warn the lottery not to release his/her name for security reasons, the lottery will refuse and the winner dies or is seriously injured. The lawsuit resulting from such an act will cause the estate of the winner to have more to give out and give a wake up call to lotteries exposing winners to potential crime.
Winners should always have the final say in how monies should be distributed not the state.

E! Television to air 'Curse of the Lottery' Sunday
The thing is.... I had no idea that my ticket was switched.... Life went on as normal... If security had not discovered the fraud... I would never have known that I was the winner and never would have ever thought about it again.... Life has not changed since receiving the money....I have not touched it.... locked in CD till next month and I will probably roll it over for another 6 months because I still have not decided how I will invest it.

Why It Is Important to Remain Anonymous.
Thanks for your reply nclottoplayer
I spent years reading stories of lottery winners, and I believe that anonymity is the way to go, not only for financial security but also for the protection and privacy of the winner.

US House votes to kill Internet gambling
Yes, there are things everyone can do. Get all your friends and neighbors registered to vote. If your representatives are up for re-election, vote the sorry asses out. It's might be too late to stop them, but it will send a message to the Senate. Americans, for the last 30 years have not paid any attention what-so-ever to what their representatives are doing in Washington. That's why the sorry asses think and can, get away with anything. I doubt if 10% of them give a damn about individuals, it's

N.M. Lottery official resigns after leaving DWI accident scene
... What's amazing is enebriated he manages to walk his injured passenger to a bar instead of the emergency room, and she actually agrees to go with him... not to mention, he didn't even bother to use the phone there to order an ambulance for her. Wonder if they both staggered in. If so i'm quite sure the Hotel's security camera caught it all on film. What a site they must have looked like! The next day in addition to feeling embarrassed, they both had to have felt as though they were hit by a

Betslips? Down?
I've heard others mention the ss # thing. I never had to give my social security number when signing up for BetSlips and Click2Pay. It was a pain the ass setting up my Click2Pay account, I'll give you that, but I never was asked for such personal info.
After the initial inconvenience with the set up of my Click2Pay acct, BetSlips has been working just fine for me. I just wished they carried EuroMillions.
