GEEZ 50 bucks!!!!!!! when does the $100 one start??? the greed of the MSL is appalling at times!! But one thing about Michigan...we can't sell houses,but we can sell the heck out of raffle tickets!!!!!!!!!

TN's raffle isn't doing all that great either. Out of 800,000 tickets only 500,000 have been sold and the drawing is May 14. Bet they don't try that again.

i have to admit if i lived in michigan i would buy some tickets but we will see if the people in michigan agree with me. i think their last raffle sold out in a week but the tickets were not $50 that time.

Thanx Tang. Cheesegrits mentioned this a few weeks ago, but we couldn't find anything on the GA Lottery website confirming it. They did the same thing with the GA Raffle though. I saw it advertised in stores way before I saw it on the web.

Wisconsin Lottery to hold raffle draw May 1Reply
There is not too much excitement with this raffle. When I checked this morning, they still have over 200,000 tickets left to be sold with only a week to go. Me thinks they will be pushing the draw date back...way back! That's why I would rather buy a PB/MB ticket...at least I know there will be two drawings every week giving me a chance to win.

there are many rules to hold a raffle and you must check with your state get permits etc. Most raffles are for non profit organizations so i guess that leaves you out a being able to pocket any money.

Ohio's Classic Lotto 03/14/07Reply
The Labor Day raffle didn't sell out until 2 days before the draw but I don't think this one will make the drawing deadline. It may be because the Mega Million jackpot was so high when the tickets first went on sale or maybe Ohioans are not into raffles. Simliar raffles in Florida and Michigan sold out in less than a week.
