Not to do with lottery
Thanks Emily and Bluegrass. I'm off of the narcotics thank god ( i hated then after so long ) but the USCG didnt seem too thrilled that I waited so long to renew my papers. Had no choice though. I hope to have mine renewed within 2 months and the company told the union they will allow me to take a trip off in hopes that everything will be ok in another month after 21 feb. My thing is that I have friends left and right losing papers over things they did 20 and 30 yrs ago. These are folks I sail

Not to do with lottery
Blackie your right a lot of things are changed now because of homeland security but. I think if you were active are still active that you'll be ok. Felony convictions might be a problem but misdemeanors I think not. A dui while a problem for some who have multiple arrests. Are not a big deal for holding seaman's papers. Prescribed medicine come with warnings however if you are released from doctors care and are fit for work what you took while under doctors care isn't anybody's business except y

Lottery Post member turns up the heat on the Hoosier Lottery
Excellent work Jim,
This indicates to me that someone may very well know where the tickets are before distribution, and are placed in higher populated area. The key here being that someone at the Lottery may very well know what batches contain the big tickets prior to distribution. How else could so many counties be excluded? I have always said that geography is a factor. The Daily games are no different. I seriously question the validity of the security for these scratch offs and the RNG.

Hoosier Lottery Does It Again
I'll just add my 2 cents here:I received my packet of information from the Executive director of the Hoosier Lottery about 2 weeks ago. There was (IMHO) not a lot of substantial information there. Mostly just a bunch of press clippings about the beefed up security after the scratch off scandal.I e-mailed the Executive Director a thank you note along with a series of questions. One of the questions I asked was if I was free to discuss the information she sent me with other people. The remaini

Would you still play after winning?
Sure, I would continuing playing the lottery, but I wouldn't be as anxious because the demand would not be as great. I have read about a couple of lottery winners who kept playing (time line wasn't given) and they HIT AGAIN --also known as 'lightning striking twice!' Anything is possible because the strangest things have happened to people who just weren't prepared for the unexpected...hitting a lottery twice. We don't have crystal balls; we can't predict the future...but we can only play, hope

Age Group of L.P Players and Posters
.....and the results are the same from the last poll, which I find interesting. Lottery fever must hit people in their 50's. In the Golden Age we can't afford it anymore...Social Security benefits must be used for the electric bill and cat food for dinner (tuna's the best!). In our younger years we're not thinking about eating cat food when we're 70. BTW, I just turned 54 and started playing the lottery in my late 40's. Tonight it's Friskie's whitefish and tuna in a delicate wine sauce stir-

Having a lottery machine: Now that's the ticket
justxploring,Ohio had a promotional thing last year that issued a free QP when $5-$10 worth of tickets were brought together. I bought two $5 bunch and when the 2 free QPs pop out, the clerk tried to act like she didn't know who the QPs belonged to. Apparently she thought it was a promotion to give the clerks a chance to play for free and since some of her customers didn't know about the promotion she had been keeping the extra tickets for herself. I didn't turn her in to the owner, but she w

Having a lottery machine: Now that's the ticket
I was in WI back in Sept and the store that I was at had their own scanner for customers to scan their own tickets to check to see if they were winners. I doubt those machines work for instant tickets though. Otherwise that would be a huge security issue. I also have never seen tickets not connected to a roll unless the cashier accidently pulled to many off. Michigan has self scanners for club keno but that its. They should have it for other games also.About the articile I don't find anythi

Newspaper takes a hard look at the N.J. Lottery
This is in response to the New Jersey Lottery article posted in The Star-Ledger. I don't think the article properly represented the poor buyers of the Lottery. I live on Social Security and spend $16.00 per month on the Mega Millions game. I have been playing the game since it came to New Jersey. The game brings excitement to me two times a week as I dream about what I would spend the jackpot on. Even when I don't win it's at least a source of entertainment, and most of the time a bigger jakpo
