Would you stop playing the lottery if you were restricted to Quick Picks?
just like a quick pick, you can't pick any raffle ticket number... hmm, interesting.

PA Raffle Tickets on Sale - Drawing July 11, 2015
Although I've only played in the last two PA Millionaire Raffles, I have to agree with everything written above. I realize that the raffle was held over a week ago, but I just downloaded a PDF file from the PA Lottery's website that lists the winning numbers in each prize category. I'm surprised by something I noticed, and that's that many winning tickets were sold very late in the selling cycle. I say that because I saw a lot of winning numbers listed that were above 300,000. That said, the

Being restricted to QP only would almost be like buying raffle tickets and I don't buy raffle tickets except when being sold by a charity organization.

Ohio New Year Raffle
In December the Ohio Lottery Commission ran radio ads for the New Years raffle touting that the listeners might not want to tell anyone about the raffle as ones odds would improve with fewer people and that the raffle would be held January 2nd, the ad mentions no chance of delay or possible date extension for ticket sales. How is this not a case of bait and switch?

PA Raffle Countdown to 500,000 ...
If sales are coming in way below projections, they might discount them by a dollar or two. However, the PA Lottery has only ever done that once many years ago when they expanded the raffle from 500,000 to 625,000 tickets - they sold them out, barely. They went back to 500,000. Most likely, as Chris$ points out, they'll sell out in time. However, it does seem the sales are running a bit slower than I recall in past years. Though, many players wait until near the end; some intentionally spread out

PA Raffle Countdown to 500,000 ...
Agreed. I've observed a similar situation with Connecticut's SuperDraw raffle. It's held twice per year, (New Year's Day and The 4th of July) tickets cost $10, with a maximum of 275,000 to be sold, and the top prize is one million dollars for one winner. It seems that ticket sales are slow when they first go on sale (in October) but they take off starting around Xmas Eve. I'm told sales are brisk during the New Years Eve week. By 12/31 they usually sell out. The CT 4th of July raffle is a dif
