Another stupid math question
Yeah, that's what I meant by winning a prize, but they don't have $1 winners on $3 tickets. Not here anyway. I was just trying to figure the odds of winnig any prize like what is represented in the odds they give. I wasn't trying to figure out how to make money. Yes, there are better odds at winning $500, but what about any other prize? With ezMatch you have a 1 in 4.88 chance of at least getting your money back. With Cash 3, those 1 in 1000 grand prize odds are also the overall odds, the other 999 combinations get zilch. ezMatch also has a higher payout, 68 cents out of every dollar goes to prizes, Cash 3 pays 50 cents on the dollar.

The PA site claims the odds of hitting just the powerball are 1 in 68.96, not 1 in 42. Although 1 in 42 makes sense, I think it would take more than 42 draws to pick any said ball if you kept returning the missed bal
