Smaller Jurisdiction Lotteries
It's the biggest city by a huge margin. The New York Metro houses over 7,000,000 plus people. The next largest is LA with around 5,000,000, and that encompasses an area twice as big. Manhattan itself could support a 6/44 lotto. I think it would be great idea for New York City at least. I'm sure a NYC lottery would appeal more to NYC players. Maybe they could have a pick-3, a pick-4, a pick-5 more like the one in PA, a 6/42-46 lotto, and Powerball. They certainly could use one, because they're no

Dawn Nettles and the TX Lottery
You know what that is a great idea. I will start a security company that handles lottery drawings. My company will have no idea of each lotteries sales so therefore noway for the company to fix the drawings. And just to please everyone on here I will make sure all drawings are conducted via balls and drums. Charge the lotteries a very small fee so everyone wins. Players and lotteries would not be able to complain at all then. That is a great idea.Brad

Schwarzenegger to replace Calif. lottery director
If Arnold calls me, I will decline. I wouldn't be able to play the lottery!!! I worked for 8 years for a company that had the security contract with the California State Lottery and I had to sign an agreement stating that I would not play the lottery while I worked for them!! I didn't even service the Lottery contract, but it didn't matter. The agreement listed a long list of family members that also could not play the lottery. It did not include in-laws, so my father-in-law played the lott

Anyone seen this - cheat at lotto??
OK, I'll repeat the part that I wrote you, minus the guy's whois info. Anyone can easily obtain that info anyway. He's running a total scam outfit, and should be reported to the Ontario authorities. Here's my reply to your PM:Wow, I didn't realize the extent to which you got ripped off.No, that software will NOT give you access to a lottery's computers. It only would give access to a computer which is specifically running the server-based component of that software, and I can guarantee that no

I Hate Computerized Drawings
I'd guess that's the result, but not the purpose. The purpose is ease of administration, not having to worry about security for the ball machines. So they put in RNG, and try not to think about the vulnerability to someone rigging that. Then, someone in a small office somewhere who's sweating blood and bullets because the inflated billboard claims about the prizes being larger than they are still haven't got the grunts rushing out to buy tickets. He wanders into his bosses office to brainstorm

Lottery winners right to privacy
We lottery players should organize a lobby to campaign for privacy. I was annoyed reading about the Powerball winner in Idaho, who requested anonymity, but Idaho Lottery insisted he reveal his identity. I can understand that the lottery wish to demonstrate that everything is above board, but it is not necessary to require winners to go public. We would not want our employer or bank disclosing our financial situation to the world, why do people, who a fortunate enough to win a jackpot have to do

Unclaimed UK Lottery Prizes Soar to £100m Record
We have a dedicated team of sleuths who are committed to tracking down those lucky winners and encourage them to come forward to claim their prize. That's a happy thought. Evidently, inn the UK, if you happen to be playing it sly, holding out on claiming your prize until you have things set up to your best advantage, they send guys out to examine the security camera film in the store where you bought your ticket to try to ferret you out.... or some other method. To be honest, I'd wondered if th

winning a jackpot
i can say this if i ever win a jackpot i see no reason to keep working and filling another bosses pockets while a little bit trickles down to me although i did the biggest part of the work.once you get to the top its strange how those at the bottom do the most work for the least part of the pie.something is backwards about that.one of the hardest jobs i ever had was working in a mcdonalds.those people have a harder job than people think they do.its one of the reasons i do security work because i

Tennessee Lottery - ALERT
Well I don't know. TN needs to make a security section on their Web Page. I love the fact the lottery was voted in to TN. I wonder if this goes all the way up to Rebecca Paul or if it is just some backstabbing VP's.(IF THIS IS TRUE) I feel be trade if this is so. I sure hope it isn't. It's hard to believe a STATE Lottery would do something like this to their loyal customers. I don't really know if they would chance this or not. If they were talking about this in a public place others can

Sign the petition - eliminate computerized drawings!
Amazing, you sit there and can't handle the other side of the coin. Not only that but you flame, as the admin??? You know nothing about reality, b/c in reality you will never win this battle...welcome to the computer age...Stop Whining And Accept...Like I said before, I have no preference in how the lottery is played but you must understand that you can't base this entire petition on security issues or randomless flaws with a computer...the exact same exists in using real balls. And real bal
