Odds Don't Change When Jackpot Goes UP
Ky Floyd
In the case of the Florida raffle the odds of winning with one ticket are 1 in 125,000 because there will be 10 combinations drawn out of 1,250,000 available combinations.
Hello. that's a raffle....in the lotteries we are talking about there is one, and only one combination drawn. Quite a difference. All the difference in the world when it comes to odds on various games.
And with that, I give up. As long as people honestly think they cancvut the odds in half with anothe

Some people think $20 is too much for lottery ticket
Most of the states selling these raffle tickets have had no problem selling out the entire subscriotion. And every one I've seen so far has had the payout percentage right at 50%.

Some people think $20 is too much for lottery ticket
Michigan scratch offs STINK!!!! for $20 they payout $2 million...bought 1 once and got my money back...WOW!!! the raffle here pays out in annuity...what a bunch of greedy suckers at the ole MSL.. they even have $10 tickets that offer $1 million and are paid out in annuity...LOL

Pressure to win the lottery?
I really don't feel pressure to win the big games. I'm content with hits on the pick 3/4 games...that's what keeps me going. I have one number I play on FL Lotto every week. No way can I do any more than hope that I win, but there's no way I could work any system on the big games right now. Hoping to win the big raffle for Jan 1 though.

Florida Lottery holiday raffle game sold out
SC is doing this silly raffle also. What a great marketing ploy to raise even more money. The odds are still pretty ridiculous, aren't they?

individual states raffle lotteries
Florida tickets are (were) $20 each. I finally withdrew $100 tonight, drove to the store, and guess what? The raffle that began last Monday is SOLD OUT!! Well, I saved some gas money I suppose.

Florida Lotto jackpot rolls over to $9 million
In addition to the 9 million we are also amazed at the amount of raffle tickets that have already been sold in the Christmas raffle which started just one week ago.
Out the original 1,250,000 to be sold, as of 7:30am this morning 10/27/06 only 394,733 remain. To put it more in perspective, of the 25 million dollars that was to be raised, the Lottery Commission has already raised 17 million and some change. This amounts to about 70% plus of the tickets being sold in just one week. I believe

On this raffle drawing...seems like good odds, but then when i started looking closer at our raffles compared to other states, it doesn't appear to be that good after all. First and foremost is the pathetic greed of the good old MSL.....our $1 million is paid out in a annuity form as with all the other states it is CASH...just leave it to the MSL to come up with a way to cheapen the way you can win. Whats next...annutiy on the 4 digit payouts? ....LOL

Florida Multi-State
I meant to buy a couple on Monday and forgot because I had a 7:30 meeting..darn! Then I had to spend the money on gas. I've been driving over 100 miles a day. I wonder if it matters if a person purchases the first, middle or last tickets. If the raffle is fair random, it shouldn't.
