anonymous lotto winners anymore?
If you win, this is what you do.1. Wait atleast 2 weeks before you claim your prize. And tell no one that you won. Move all your stuff out of your old house.2. Get a lawyer, finacial advisor, personal security.3. Live out of a hotel those 2 weeks and atleast a month after you win.4. Move, change your numbers and tell no one you don't want to know.If you are smart, you can prdvent all types of BS happening to you. You got to let these people know you mean business.Moving to where alot of other ri

California lottery struggles with tepid sales
The California Lottery needs to be revamped because having a STR number in most would pay $500, STR/BX $250 and so on, that is not the case, it fluctuates which make people not want to play because of fear of having to turn it in for taxes. The system here gives people no incentive to play. I for one, spend a lot of money on this system and I am ready to give up because, as someone said earlier, the payback is terrible. I have personally talk to some of Cal Lottery employees and they have a f

Lottery Winners Remaining Anonymous.
Quote: Originally posted by DoctorEw220 on July 09, 2004remember that the lotteries want to prove to the public that people are actually winning these jackpots. They prove that the lottery has been won every time it starts out from the beginning amount.Under no circumstance should a winner have to advertise that they hit the jackpot. With so many wacko's out there it should be a responsibility of the state to offer some kind of protection to it's jackpot winners. Until they are able to get some s

Online lotteries in Brazil
I wouldn't advise playing third world lotteries whose language you don't understand, who's security, currency and banking is questionable, you might as well reply to those Nigerian scam letters. No offense to my friends in Brazil, but China just had a big lottery scandle and they regulate everything, Brazil - half the spam I recieve comes from there like a river of crime. At first those 25/50 and 50/99 games sound real interesting and easy to win, but you'll soon find them not only just as hard o

Can people still know that you won....
....even after you form a trust ???What if the trust is formed to claim a prize, but the IRS calls family members and relatives by mistake because they have the same last name. One time the bank got my father and my names confused because of name similarities (I am named after my father). Could that happen again???? Yeah I know that the social security numbers are always different, but human error is possible. What if you form the trust, and you spend money on a new car? Wouldn't people get

do u think u'd survive winning?
*Smirk* I gave it alot of thought if I ever won it big... that I'd continue what I'm doing except in a grander scale ... milk the fame for all its 15 minutes worth ... and walk with some extra money in my pockets :)... as I know that it's already difficult for most 'normal' people to talk to goths anyway (especially one that would probably crossdress more often to make sure), my physical appearance would continue to be a semi-protection from some unscrupulous people in person... ... and in envir

quick pick is better
Since I just play Powerball, I let the machine pick 3 sets of numbers for my Quick-Pick, and I choose the other two numbers, which by the way, I play faithfully. So, I just play $5.00 -- $10.00 because I always play Power Play. Why? Suppose I do not hit Powerball, but I hit the other numbers, I have multiplied my winnings. Last September, I had 3 of the numbers, including Powerball which was $100.00, but since I played Power Play (and the number was 5), I won $500.00.Although the Quick-Pick

Can You Remain a Virtual Unknown?
I know im a bit paranoid but here is my plan. Before i turned the ticket in i would gain 20-25lbs, dye my hair and other various things. I would also buy a ticket for the next drawing using the same numbers that i won with for security reasons. My girlfriend lives in england so i would spend the following six months living there. Upon returning i would spend a month or so in canada and then return to england for another six months. Hopefully by a years time my name would be forgotten, i have
