is that 12 mill for the next draw or did 1 lucky winner just get 12 million pounds?
eitheer its a typo, or the should be drawing 12 millionaires, not 1 multi millionaire.

Beware of sharks swimming in your office lottery pool
I run a pool at my office. There are 13 of us in it total and we each put $4 on payday(every other Friday) in. We buy a mix of Powerball, Lotto, and MegaMillions tickets. My members all pay timely except for one because she got promoted to a job where she travels a lot, so I cover her and she pays me back when she returns to the office. She and I started the pool when we were office mates, then others asked to join and it's up to 13. A few of the members have since retired, but they pay me for s

Canadian sports anchor wins $2.5 million lottery on live TV
Congrats
EddessaKnight
Vancouver sportscaster Barry Deley was shopping for groceries when he got a call from his Global News co-worker Squire Barnes, who was live on television anchoring coverage of the grand prize drawing in the BC Children's Hospital Dream Lottery. The winning ticket had just been selected from amongst 288,000 entries and, lo and behold, it bore the name Barry Deley.
There were 288,000 tickets for sa

Lucky lottery lady outed as Stanford University statistics PhD
you guys want random, play mega millions and powerball
Now that is where Luck Rules, even a person specialising in statistics will have a epic uphill fight vs them 2 games
however as others have pointed out, the card games are fixed, they just hide where the winners are shipped and when they shipped out in each game
i however do like what some states do with play it again, like tennessee
all the losers can be entered into a random raffle draw, and 1 winner at end of the gam

N.C. store owner accused of stealing winning lottery ticket
I also think the same thing about the people who drop $20 or $50 for a single raffle ticket only to never claim the $1,000 prize their ticket won....I see such listings in Illinois many months after the raffle. Why waste $20 when you don't even bother to go pickup your $1,000 prize? Heck, even if a person owes back taxes or child support, even in excess of $1,000, at least that is about $750 less that they will end up paying from their wages.
But to the main point I noted from this story...

Illinois Lottery: Beware the Ides of March?
We stopped at a Shell station to play a ticket today and the clerk said, I've never seen this, the terminal says, Encryption error.
So we waited a minute and then it came back on and took a playslip for Lotto (Pick 6). Then my wife had a scratcher to cash and it was back to Encryption error and didn't come back up.
So on the way home we stopped at another place, same story, and that clerk says, I've never seen this before.
So I'm wondering if:
A lot of people were playing 315 (The

5/39 and $100! Ideas??
Yeah I saw that on the IL lottery website.(I need to go back and read it) The raffle I'm talking about is a church raffle. Tickets are $100 a piece, the number of tickets is limited and top prize is $50,000. I've bought these tickets a few times and didn't get upset that I didn't win. Sometimes you just have to take a chance. That's why I'm willing to spend the $100 on Little Lotto. I see it as more of a challenge than anything.....but a fun challenge.
I need to sit down and start working out

Florida Raffle
With 12 hours remaining the Virginia raffle has 64,000 tickets left.
But they sold 127,000 tickets on the last day last year so it looks like it could be a sell out.
I have 3 tickets. Naturally, it's part of my strategy to win all 3 of the million dollar prizes.
According to my research and exhaustive studies it appears to be a sure thing.
Even recent polls indicate the outcome:
When asked the question - Is Daddy going to win all 3 of the million dollar prizes in the raffle? - all
