Figuring the Odds
Greetings all!I'm trying to figure out how to determine which Instant Games (in Georgia) are the best deal. I see where the Georgia Lottery says that, for example, Fast 50 has Overall Odds of winning of 4.8. It has a game price of $1, a top prize of $500, and that 104 of 171 of the $500 prizes have been claimed. #1 DAD has overall odds of 3.92, with a top prize of $35,000, and 2 of 4 of these prizes have been claimed. It seems on its face that #1 dad is the better value. But I wonder what go

175 million-to-one Odds
Has California entered Mega yet? I haven't been keeping up with the time on that. I just buy my 1 ticket...then check to see if I've won. Below is copied from Dawn Nettles (lottoreport.com). Thought y'all might enjoy reading it. I asked Professor Gerald Busald to ask his Statistics students at San Antonio College to tell me - in layman terms - how I could best explain what 175 million-to-one odds means. The odds is how many different combinations there are in a game. His students did a re

Has MI-OH game been shelved?
Actually the free play is a promotional prize with odds of 1 in 57 (match 3 of 6, no bonus). The 1 in 451 odds represent the odds of winning a money prize. I will be glad if it's replaced with an improved $1 game. If it's $2, it's not much of a gain, it might even be a loss if the game isn't special enough (I expect a lot if I have to pay $2 for 1 measly line).

Odds of winning jackpot
On the game information in the jackpots area it would be nice to have the odds of winning the jackpot with it. like 12,000,000 to 1 or however you would like to phrase it.

Mega Millions - 2 or more tickets hit JP?
Just my opinion:Mega Millions States. Before California: Population 120m Odds 135m:1 After California: Population 155m Odds 176m:1In both cases, the population is 88% of the odds. I think we will see the same number of rollovers as before, and the same number of winners, just the jackpots will have a higher average.
