Some players unhappy with UK Lotto game changes
Loss of Millionaire Raffle rankles Scots
The United Kingdom National Lottery is facing a boycott from outraged Scottish players who branded the Lotto game's prize draw an absolute con after lottery operator Camelot changed its rules.
Lotto bosses have come under fire for scrapping the Lotto Millionaire Raffle which awarded a 1 million payout twice a week.
Since the canceled game add-on was a raffle and not a lotto draw, there was a guaranteed 1 million prize winner every drawing, rather

Largest-ever UK Lotto jackpot has players... angry?
By Todd Northrop
In the United States, a record jackpot is cause for celebration and waves of ticket-buying, but in the United Kingdom players are bemoaning tomorrow night's record 42.2 million (US$62.62 million) Lotto jackpot and threatening to boycott the game, according to local media reports.
Apparently having a jackpot won frequently is more important to Brits than the size of the pot.
Tomorrow's record 42.2 million jackpot is the result of a record 10th rollover. The reason for th

Small community anxiously waits for $1M lottery winner to claim prize
It is very likely that a Madison County, Illinois, resident is $1 million richer after purchasing a winning lottery ticket at Casey's General in Glen Carbon. However, the winner has yet to come forward to claim the massive prize.
We're really disappointed, said Store Manager Shirley Sutter about the unknown winner having yet to seek the award. We're anxious to see who it is.
Sutter explained that the Illinois Lottery held a summer promotion called Million Dollar Summer Raffle in which

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
I first went into a very busy Circle K at lunch time. It's new and was recently opened. Big mistake!
I was at the tail end of the line and the clerk motioned for me to go to the head of the line. So I said excuse me and walked past guys who had been in line prior to me even though I had absolutely no idea why she called me to the head of the line.
I asked for a millionaire raffle ticket. She looked at me and said A millionaire raffle ticket? To which I simply said Yes .
She l

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
... whether or not the Florida Lottery will cut the number of winners from 10 down to a lower number due to lower sales is another thing altogether.
The snip below is from the Raffle Prizes page. Looks like they only need to sell 1 ticket to award all prizes! Now that's a business plan!

Rising Gas Prices and the Lottery
Periodically I deliberately stop playing for a while. (Could be for a month or so) It really doesn't have so much to do with the economy as much as it does me. I intentionally do it so that I know that I'm in control and not the lottery. Right now, I stopped playing regularly a couple of weeks ago. Because Florida has a raffle going on right now, (ends July 2nd) I'll probably pick up a ticket in May, or maybe in June. We'll see. G5

I may buy anther one before the next drawing...

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
Bought a ticket yesterday...two clerks in the same store weren't familiar with the raffle! What's that all about? How does it work?
My ticket number was 144,5XX. I dunno... looks to me like The Florida Lottery has some work to do if they want to sell even a million tickets. G5

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
My state had a raffle last year. I enjoyed playing. If I was close to Florida. I would definitely buy a ticket. The live drawing seems good to. My state it was computer generated i think...I am confused by how many tickets they sell versus pay outs. Mabye I'm reading it wrong. But anyways.... Good luck if your playing. And have a great day!
