Iowa Lottery requires winners to sign tickets
On the heels of a similar announcement from the Ontario Lottery, the Iowa Lottery has imposed a new rule aimed at reducing the possibility of retailer fraud. Starting March 15, 2008, Iowa retailers will only be able to check and cash lottery tickets if they have first been signed by the ticketholder. The lottery also reinforced that players are responsible for the accuracy of their tickets before leaving the store, and for determining if their ticket is a winner. Under current rules, re

Protection after a huge jackpot lottery win
Protection comes in a wide variety of aspects. While the 6 items listed are considered good and workable to you, they would not work for someone else. Being in the Security field for 20+ years, my theories on my and my family protection would not work for you. 1. As I see it, there is no way other than using a LLC or the like to not let people know you are a winner. 2. Some folks have such strong ties to the town they live in, that moving to another state or country would not even be an

Info On RNG'S
Mike, That's a harsh way of putting it, but essentially that's the reason. You don't go to computerized drawings because it's more random or any nonsense like that. The randomness of the drawings has nothing to do with any of these decisions. Frankly, the random arguments are the smokescreen for computerized drawings. Manufacturers of the devices try to bring the discussion into a debate over randomness. That's not the most important issue. They bring the discussion there beca

Tennessee Lottery computerized drawings flawed since inception
I'm glad I live close to Kentucky. Tennessee really pissed me off with this changing over to computers to draw the numbers then when they had this flaw and I sent this email. I would like to know if there is a problem with the computer that draws the lottery numbers? Every since you(Tennessee Lottery) have switched the way the numbers are chosen there hasn't been a double digit come out in ANY draw. I know that the drawings are supposed to be random but it is highly unlikely that no double wo

Indiana Lottery (Hoosier Lotto)
I have said repeadedly that I do not have any factual proof the Hoosier Lottery is rigged. There are 2 instances of rigged games I can point to. 1. The William Foreman Scratch off scandal. Mr. Foreman...a Hoosier Lottery Security Official rigged a scratch off game. The Hoosir Lottery has admitted Mr. Foreman rigged the game. His accomplices have pled guilty in a plea bargain agreement. Mr. Foreman is out on bail awaiting trial but press reports indicate he will in all probability not be

Tenn. Lottery players complaining over switch from numbered balls
Thanks to the Tennessee Lottery's unilateral decision to abandon traditional lottery drawings using numbered balls to pick the winning numbers on television, many players have decided to stop playing. The Tennessee Lottery now has computers generate random numbers instead of the player-preferred televised drawings. Lottery officials say the new system is as secure as the old one. Many players don't like the change, though. I don't trust the computerized drawings, said Nashville reside

Hackers & the lottery...
This is a quote from the Missouri Lottery's website(picture is above): [Quote] The Lottery s computerized drawing system, which was implemented on July 19, 2004, uses new technology to select the numbers for the Numbers Games. The computerized system software, named ODDS (Online Daily Draw System), is housed in a secure draw room in Jefferson City. These draw computers are not connected to the Internet or any other network source. The room has no other phone or data

I won 2,000,000.00 Euros
Listen pacattack05, I wasn't trying to get on you in a negative way. My bad if my delivery was a bit brash. But what I am trying to tell you is they can use your personal information like your name, birthday, and address to get the ball rolling on finding out your other personal info. What I am trying to say is don't give them ANY info. These scam artists are VERY resourceful and WILL find out your other info. You don't need to give them your Bank Account information. With your name,
