State Lottery Advice to Winners
I cut and paste the advice printed on the Illinois Lottery website below the dotted lines. I have highlighted the words of advice they give to anyone winning over $1 million. In my opinion, that is absolutely terrible advice! Personally, when I win, I will not even tell my mom because that would be the same as calling your entire address book, as was portrayed in the movie Lottery Ticket. What do you think LP?

The embassy requested more security knowing the situation there.
60 people were killed in 13 embassy and consulate attacks prior to Benghazi. And sadly that's what happens when people are put in harms way. How do you justify the 250 Americans killed in Lebanon when Reagan was President. And that was after 17 Marines were killed at the Embassy.
Then, the SOS, Hillary, has the audacity to ask what difference does it make .
Does it make a difference, even today if it was a premeditated

The second trial for a former lottery official accused of fixing jackpots in five states will be postponed until next year.
An Iowa prosecutor and Eddie Tipton's attorney told a judge Wednesday they've agreed to a Feb. 13 trial date. The judge hasn't yet set a location for the trial.
The former information security director for the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL) was convicted last year of fraud for attempting to rig a 2010 Iowa Hot Lotto drawing. He's appealing.

My name is Jerry Carter. I am the Director of Security with the North Carolina Education Lottery. I am in receipt of an email that you sent to our Player Info site which expressed concern about the level of integrity of the NCEL and our Pick 3 game. Since the Security Division is responsible for preserving the integrity of every game that is introduced to the citizens and visitors of North Carolina and conducts the Carolina Pick 3, Pick 4 and Cash 5 games, I thought I would email you and address

Security heads list of lottery priorities
There could be a lot of winners after scratch-off lottery tickets go on sale at 12:01 a.m. tomorrow. But it won't be because the lottery manipulated the games to produce more winners right away to entice more people to play.''It will appear there are more winners the first day than the second day,'' said Rebecca Paul, president and chief executive officer of the Tennessee Education Lottery Corp.''We'll sell more tickets the first day so we'll have more winners based on the fact that you sell more

Lawyers drop request for author's lottery scandal book notes
Lawyers reversed course on Tuesday and dropped a subpoena in which they had ordered an Iowa journalist to turn over notes related to his book about a lottery industry insider who rigged jackpots in several states.
The withdrawal of the subpoena for journalist Perry Beeman's notes came hours after The Associated Press reported that it had been issued and sought materials that were likely protected by Iowa's reporter privilege law.
Beeman co-wrote a recent book, The $80 billion Gamble, with

Court rejects Colorado man's claim to full $4.8M lottery jackpot he unwittingly split with scammers
Even though Amir Massihzadeh of Boulder, Colorado, was the only legitimate winner of a Colorado Lotto jackpot worth $4.8 million in 2005, he's not eligible to claim the full winnings, the Colorado Court of Appeals ruled in a decision released Thursday.
Massihzadeh, one of three ticket holders to win that jackpot, accepted his prize of $568,990, after taxes. But 10 years later, a criminal investigation exposed a scheme to rig lotteries across state lines, and officials determined the other two
