Thanks for putting in that perspective of how much you win per $1 spent. In Massachusetts, we have Mass Cash where the jackpot is $100,000 for a $1 play. And the odds for winning Mass Cash are about 1 in 325,000. And the odds for winning the $4,000,000 prize in the Michigan raffle are 1 in 300,000. So that really isn't a big difference. People in Massachusetts play the same line multiple times to win $100,000 multiple times. So I could do that instead which would save me a lot of gas money.

I was checking that one out the other day. Looks kinda iffy to me? My math might need to be double checked but wouldn't they need to sell at least 237,000 of the 300,000 tickets just to cover the payout of all prizes? But so far they have only sold 36,833 (as of my post time). Only 30 days left until the drawing and the tickets don't seem to be selling all that well (probably combination of $50 price, lack of entertainment in the form of choosing one's own numbers as is the case with all

Too bad they couldn't have a raffle with this money and state kicking in another million so there would be two top prizes of $1 million each. Texas residents won't see a penny of this windfall. Let's hope the ticket owner never finds out!

Thanks Slick, and I've no idea if interstate betting laws cause problems. I aint ever won a dime out side of New York. Well, on second thought, yes I did. I won 20 bucks a year or so ago while in Florida playing Fantasy Five. I won 15 bucks in North Carolina too, but as you can see, I didn't have to worry about the Tax Man. I'll figure it out tonite after I win a cool Mill in PA's Millionaire Raffle. G5

I had a 4 out of 5 Take5 hit, I'm gonna use Andy Cuomo's money to buy 5 more Millionaire Raffle tix. That's a nice $330.50 bump! Depending on how much you'll be spending from this point, Andy could be doing your heavy lifting for a good while. Nice!

Just hit the PA Lottery's website - 60,668 tickets remaining. Down ~10,000 in one day. In the past, I've seen them sell at a rate of 20,000 per day during the last week of the sales cycle. Might make a 'Raffle Run' to PA come Saturday or Sunday. My Take5 winnings are burning a hole in my pocket and I aint even cashed my $489 winning ticket yet! G5

Pennsylvania is again offering a News Years raffle starting Tuesday Nov-7th with weekly $100,000 early bird drawings. Haven't seen details yet, but likely same as in past years. My guess is 500,000 tickets as usual. And, as in past raffles, likely: 4 $1 million prizes, 4 $100K prizes, 100 $1K prizes, and 5,892 $100 prizes.

Thanks for all the comments :] I agree I think the name has confused folks and a lot of people probably assume the drawing is over. I dont think the prize structure is not very appealing ... aside from the top prize. This has been a fail for the Idaho lottery and I hope they just stick to the millionaire raffle from now on.
