**NCEL - North Carolina Lottery Rigging**
A Lottery with Transparency? - Texas So in the past I have mentioned the lack of transparency when it comes to NCE(xtortion)L. They WANT you to think that they are telling you everything and that it is all on the up and up, but believe me, it is not even close. In the past I have mentioned how Texas for example posts their machine pre-tests after every drawing as seen here: https://www.texaslottery.com/export/sites/lottery/Games/Pick_3/morning_pre_test_results.html So the burning questio

Do you have any weird lottery superstitions?
You better get used to seeing that screen. The pink smoke people can't glue themselves to the floor to interrupt games. The NFL need Japanese net guns for security..... G

North Carolina Lottery winner: "$4 million is not much these days"
Well its not the usual feel good story we read about It's a feel good story even if the guy doesn't know, but maybe he's just really focused on the reality that he's very comfortable but not rich enough to indulge too much. By staying on the job he'll be collecting a pension that's probably already fairly comfortable, and when he's ready he can start collecting social security too. After paying the rest of the taxes he'll probably net about $3.3 million, which could give him another 130k

Win the Lottery - Your Retirement Strategy (or maybe not)!
Yep, good point. You'll get something back for lower-tier wins. Also, you gotta love how the (U.S.) income tax system works on this. You pay top marginal rate on all net wins, but can't deduct any net loss, and your (gambling) losses only offset against wins for losses within the same calendar year. If you win the PB or MM Jackpot in a state like California, you will probably be paying ~55% tax (combined State and Federal). Next thing will be The Bern and Pocahontas going after Social Securit

Pennsylvania: 7/1 - 7/31/2022
Hey guys trying to figure out where the #5 balls are in the PA lottery pick3 Night machine's. They've obviously vanished from the first 2 machines. Super strange hasn't led off going on 47 draws now. Has only hit once in middle on 6/25 that was after 67 draws without hitting - hasn't hit since! Very sparsely has hit in last position going 25 draws without hitting there either recently. I think it was Keystone that talked about the vanishing of the #5 recently. Anywho after talking with the head

Mega Millions host calls wrong winning number during broadcast
Human error can still occur with computerized drawings because there still needs to be at least one human involved to manually input the draw results into the database. For security reasons, the draw machines are never connected to the lottery's network. California Lottery used to have some videos on their site that showed how they did all the computerized draws. Someone performs an action on a stand alone computer, and then the numbers are manually recorded, with several people around to witnes

Florida lottery winner of $1 million prize wants only one thing with winnings
I took offense to your post. Am a proud Democrat retired US Army and then 20 years in a PICU. Regretfully now getting Social security that I voted for Reagan since he instituted taxing SS benefits ; so karma gets me end of every year. No comment on the other guy, Jesus will Judge him as He will all of us. Karma comes then too. But this is America, we are all entitled to our opinions....facts speak for themselves.

Do the numbers really NOT hold any memory?
Physical balls? No. A computer pseudo-random number generator program? Hard to say because there are many PRNG algorithms, many methods of seeding the particular algorithm. Ideally, each time the program is run the output should not depend on the previous output and the seed should come from a true-random source. But, there is always the factor of human error and negligence in programming. Maybe somebody out there with poor training in lottery security wrote a program that uses the previous o

Bill granting limited lottery winner anonymity passes in Florida House
New legislation offers temporary reprieve from public eye for wins over a certain amount By Kate Northrop The Florida House passed a bill that would allow lottery winners of $250,000 and over to keep their identity hidden from public eye for 90 days. On Wednesday, the Florida House voted nearly unanimously to pass a lottery bill that prevents winners of $250,000 or more from having to divulge their identity for a limited amount of time. With a vote of 114-1, there was little to
