Once homeless, now a lottery winner: Colorado man gets his $1 million comeback
Tough sales day leads to a big break in luck
By Kate Northrop
What seemed like an impossible situation is now one Colorado man's reality after he successfully lifted himself out of homelessness and proceeded to win $1 million in the lottery.
A formerly homeless Colorado man worked to remove himself from his unfortunate circumstances, and in doing so indirectly won a $1 million lottery prize.
Jonathan G. was having a tough sales day while working as a cell phone representative. He

Lucky For Life to Millionaire For Life - $5 Ticket
I've been reading the posts in this thread and it seems to me that the consensus of opinion is most people intend to play Millionaire4Life despite the $5 per line price tag. In other threads about paying $5 for one line of MM, many players say the game is doomed at that price point. I think an important point is being over looked by many players.
In the gaming industry, Las Vegas, MUSL and state lottery's have something in common. The house always wins because the house can afford to lose. T

$1.25 BILLION: Epic Powerball winless streak marches on
Interesting that cash and annuity are both #11 at the moment. The annuity will almost certainly move up to at least the #10 spot and has a reasonable chance to move up as high as #7. There's a good chance for the cash value to move up one spot, but pretty much zero chance of moving up to #9.
What percentage of possible ticket combinations will be sold for Wednesday s draw?
Their first forecast is for 23.2% but it's going to be higher than that. I don't know if they'd bump the jackpot to

Three $1 million winning Powerball lottery tickets sold at the same New York store
Although it's theoretically possible for each ticket to have been a QP, that's so highly unlikely that it's just plain crazy to think that's what actually happened.
The retailer probably sold only a few thousand PB tickets for that drawing. To make it simple let's call it 11,688 tickets, or 1 for every 1000 5+0 combinations. That makes the odds of one ticket winning a 5+0 prize 1 in 1000. The odds of 3 winning tickets is then 1 in 1 billion. Based on NY's total sales and the number of retai

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
I suspected that although people are upset about the price increase for Mega Millions tickets, if the jackpot reaches $1 Billion, almost every lottery player will buy at least one MM ticket.
One thing that's absolutely certain is that every one of the people who said they'll never play at $5 per ticket is a lottery player, and lottery players play lotteries. Sales are starting to grow and it's probably not because of the people who aren't really lottery players but buy the rare ticket when

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
Mega Millions lost this race.
MM had sales of just under $564 million from 4/22 through 6/27. PB had sales of just over $498 million. I'm pretty sure the folks running MM think they won.
The average MM jackpot for that period was $176.25 million, and somebody won $348 million (actually a fairly modest cash value of $155.5 million). The average for PB was $102.6 million, but two players won jackpots of $178 and $216 million ($77 and $91 million, assuming they take the cash). PB gave away

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
I'm good with that. Lower odds for those players that have a ticket(s).
Might buy another next week and right at the end of the sales cycle on June 30th. G5

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
... whether or not the Florida Lottery will cut the number of winners from 10 down to a lower number due to lower sales is another thing altogether.
The snip below is from the Raffle Prizes page. Looks like they only need to sell 1 ticket to award all prizes! Now that's a business plan!

89 second prize winners for the powerball
According to ChatGPT this isn't possible in a random system. Especially 89 second place winners mostly from lower populations states. 19 from Indiana and 11 from Louisiana on total ticket sales at 9,400,000.
Says most likely reason is Correlated ticket generation within specific state systems or retail networks using shared software.
