Results for Forecast #57 Level 1
This forecast won the 044 combo in the 3/11 Texas day drawing!!
Prediction Statement: 1 of the 30 combos below will be drawn within the next 25 drawings (on or before 3/17 ).
Game plan: I'll use the Martingale Betting system to achieve my desired ROI when I win. Play the same combos and state drawings repeatedly every day. I may or may not change the state drawings while the forecast

No winner again: Powerball jackpot hits $1.6 billion in longest-ever rollover run
Estimate was way off.
They missed by even more in than MM missed back in October 2018 when they advertised a $1.6 billion jackpot and only managed 1.537. Depending on the metric you choose PB missed by almost 2 1/2 times as much as MM did. MM advertised an annuity increase of $600 million and missed by 10.5%. Powerball advertised a nominal annuity increase of $250 million and missed by 26%.
Could be an indicator of lotto fatigue.
Jackpot growth has definitely slowed down in general

Answer Me This...
A mystery?? Nah. Not to me anyway. Not after reading Tokecap's incredibly good post above. (BTW - I think it's the single best post I've ever seen written on The LP, but that's just one man's opinion)
Tokecap's post made it very clear to me that we as members of the lottery playing public have zero visibility as to how state lotteries run their businesses behind the scenes. All players can see is the results of the decisions they made.
You're located in New York, so I know you're aware

Powerball jackpot hits $1 billion after building for months
Is $50 to much to spend or u go by ur heart?
It's not too much if you save the money from all the drawings offering less than $1 billion and spend it on the first drawing for $1 billion or more. What happens if it rolls, though? PB only reached $1 billion once this year up until now. The first time there were 4 drawings for $1 billion or more. So far this run has been slower to get the big increases, and based on the most recent worksheet there's a 56% chance it will roll 3 more times*, so

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
They didn't come up short. They just didn't get to skim the full 50% they normally would have. Total sales for the run were a hair over $117 million. Of the $58.5 million that goes to prizes just over 44.7% is for lower tier prizes, so they'd need about $26.2 million for the smaller prizes. Add in the cash value of $41.9 million and the total prize payout is about $68.1 million. That leaves them $48.9 million instead of the $58.5 million target.
Of course the lottery is playing the long game

Michigan woman wins $100,000 Powerball prize from lottery numbers picked by ChatGPT
There is a high risk of using Chat GTP and it happened before when too many people won the lottery with Chinese fortune Cookies let say at the end wasn't Much lol
In 2005, a large number of people did indeed win the lottery's second-place prize using the same numbers found in fortune cookies
. The incident was not due to fraud but resulted from the single factory that produced the cookies, Wonton Food Inc., printing the same set of lucky numbers in thousands of cookies across the country

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
Where are they putting the additional unexpected $2M in sales?
They're putting it in the same places as every other $5 in sales. They skim half off the top and the rest goes into the prize pools. The ads are only for estimated jackpots, and higher sales increase it. They're not going to change the advertised amount unless sales are substantially higher than expected, and if you got those numbers from the site that shall not be named (which you must have, because the Texas worksheet doesn't

classic questions on lottery forums
Playing lotteries is about maximizing your probabilities not getting guarantees.
Studying past draws is a waste of time. Each drawing is an independent random event. The only way to increase the probability of winning is to buy more tickets.
That being said, if you buy an enormous number of tickets, you can increase the probability of winning a lower prize by ensuring your picks are spread out over the matrix. The downside is that if you do win a lower prize, it's less likely you'll win
