In The Spirit of Sharing : Powerball
i too have a system if you even want to call it thati usually play triples like 22.23.27 etc. then it becomes a 3 of ten plus a 2 of 42(mega) or 43(powerball)my theory is based on the fact that a certain percentage of winning numbers have triples in them. the odds of hitting a triple are 1:720 if you pick the right triple (twenties, teens etc) plus the ~ 1:900 odds of hitting the other two numbers reducing the over all odds by quite a bit. of course if a winning set of numbers doesnt have a tr

Lottery programs
Hmmmmm. I've calculated the odds as 1::120,526,770. Am I getting something wrong? Formula is ((53*52*51*50*49)/(1*2*3*4*5))*42 = 120526770. One-tenth of that number is 12052677 and the quoted number in my post is that number to the 10th power. Hitting it 10 times in a row would require you to beat the odds each time for 10 consecutive games. Once you've beaten the odds in the first game you face identical odds for the second and each following game.

What a program needs to be good ...
All lottery players are looking for a way to improve their odds of winning money or a lottery jackpot.Since the purpose of any lottery games is to raise money for the state, not to make millionaires, games are often changed to increase the odds and jackpot sizes. Larger jackpots entice more people to play resulting in the states making more money.Using a lottery system is one way of improving those odds. A system may make a tremendous impact on your chances of winning. Every state will try and

Welcome Ya'll...
Twisted,The odds of winning the jackpot of 5/52 + 1/52 lottery is 1:135,145,920The odds of winning the jackpot of 5/31 + 1/31 lottery is 1:5,267,241If you believed what you are saying you would be playing all low numbers below 32 and improving your odds of winning the jackpot by over 2500%. So far of the 161 drawings only 14 times have all 5 white balls been below 32, and only 9 times have all white balls and the bonus ball been below 32. Good luck to you.RJOh

Scratch off Odds?
Instant tickets are just that, instant chances at winning some money. That's why they are so popular. A lot of people don't like to wait around a couple hours for a drawing to take place. With these little cards you bought you can see just by scratching them if you won big, won small, or lost. In Michigan they dont post odds of winning but you can still easily obtain them by emailing or writing to them. Lets take for instance this $20 game they had not to long ago.$20 prize - - 1 in 5.71$25

MM Drawing for Tues. 11/11/03
Chief,The OhioSuperLottoPlus is a 649 game that chooses a 7th ball as a bonus ball which is used for matches less than six. The overall odds of winning any money is 1:812. Earlier this year that was changed to include a free QP with annuity for a match 3 which changed to overall odds of winning something to 1:54. The jackpot has better odds than MegaMillions but the lower prizes amount and odds are worst. I don't usually play it when the jackpot is below $10M, but it will be $13M this weekend

Scratch off Odds?
Actually, those odds really aren't much different than other lottery games. The overall odds of winning any Mega Millions prize is 1 in 43 - worse than those scratch ticket odds.

wheeling for dollars!!
well the most i spend is around 300 but yes i think we got your point. but some people exclude numbers to improve their odds. for instance if you believe the winning set of numbers will start with a number in the 20's you would exclude 1-19 from your numbers. if you are wrong you lose everything (which as experenced lottery players here know is very likely anyways) but if you are right you have changed your odds in your favor by quite a bit. thats what its all about do you want just a random set
