$170M Mega Millions jackpot has Calif. Lottery officials scrambling
In their first eight Mega Millions drawings, Californians bought $37 million in tickets. During the same period, $97 million was spent on drawings for California's Wednesday and Saturday SuperLotto Plus. I just realized this but both Mega Millions and SuperLotto Plus are exactly the same game. SuperLotto plus just has better odds. They have the same setup and structure and everything. The only way I would play Mega Millions in California is when the jackpot is as high as it is. Now I can se

$170M Mega Millions jackpot has Calif. Lottery officials scrambling
Chon Gutierrez, acting director of the California State Lottery, boldly predicted there would be days like this. But he had no idea that day would come this soon.Today, California's participation in the new Mega Millions multistate lottery game is expected to produce a $170 million jackpot, the second-largest lottery jackpot in state history. If no one wins in the 12-state drawing tonight, Tuesday's Mega Millions jackpot likely will top $200 million - exceeding the California record of $193 mill

Permutation
Sir Metro,Yes, you're right, permutations are just reconfigurations...order matters. So if you've got four digits, and each is distinct, 1-2-3-4....this can be arranged in 24 possible ways. 4! = 4x3x2x1 = 24.1234, 1243, 1324, 1342, 1423, 1432 There are six possibilities, and just repeat with 2, 3, and 4 in the first spot. It's interesting that only Pick 3 and Pick 4 games deal with permutations. The Mega Millions odds would be 21,085,384,320:1 if draw order mattered on the 5/56 matrix. Yes, t

Last nite for Blackapple posts
Good luck to you BlackApple and take care, the lottery is both, unpredictable and predictable, that is, it's predictable to some measure. As CD says, The odds are very much better online at the place Gambling is very addictive and expensive, so be very carefull and win (don't lose your shirt). It takes quite some time to learn what is really going on with the lottery.Go with the flow, by that I mean, go with the random flow Learn to make random your friend, not your enemy. It might not be possibl

170 million for Friday
Certainly this run has the potential to break 300, but after 200 (or even after 100), it seems that people who normally do not play will play at least a $1 just for the chance. But, maybe the long odds will help offset the increase in players so that the JP keeps rolling. I would like to see it break 300 and someone win a single JP (especially if that someone is me), but I do not know if I would want the publicity of breaking the record, especially since you cannot be in an anonymous trust in C

170 million for Friday
I see your point. Hopefully, the odds will keep it growing and break some records.A drive to Oregon though, for me in Southern CA is quite a drive. I had considered driving to Arizona once or twice when Powerball was high, but with the cost of gas, I did not want to make the trip. Of course, the thought did cross my mind that if I were to win, then it was worth the cost of gas, but in the end, I was just too lazy to go. I only buy a $1 QP, so spending $50 on gas to get a $1 ticket did not

mega millions and powerball jackpot poll
Megamillions only said the jackpot could hit 400 million after WA state joined. They just forgot to add when hell freezes over to the sentence. The Big Game (the game before Mega) was close to 400 with much lower odds but it had a much smaller player base. Powerball made the serious mistake of not changing their game when they added many states and now the jackpots and the sales have tanked. I'm sure some players will lessen what they buy for a while and sales have proven that but when a big j

Introducing the NEW JAKE O RAMA system
HeyIfy911, thanx for the system, I just bought it but I want a refund. The reason I want a refund is that what was promised, was not delivered. All I got was a fortune cookie......I figured this was a cruel joke of some kind. But upon reading the manual, I discovered the fortune cookie was embedded, withinalmost, every part of the instructions. So I took the manual seriously. Guess what!!!!I opened the cookie to see what my fortune was, and all it said is You're @#% ED!!!!This is outrageous! How c

Connecticut Gov. considers dumping Powerball
The folks that run Powerball are changing the way they pay off jackpots for winners choosing a 30-year-annuity.The estimated average jackpot under the new rules will be $84.1 million. If it was paid off in equal amounts, as it is now, winners would get $2.8 million a year, before taxes.Starting Aug. 31, payments will be backloaded, meaning winners will get far less in the early years. The winner of an $84.1 million jackpot will get $1.72 million in year one.The winner won't reach $2.8 million un
