Quads
The odds of any Pick 4 number is 10,000 to 1 no matter how you look at it numerically.Law of averages however would say that any number should show up straight every 10,000 drawings. In the case Of Quads that would be Once in every 1,000 drawings. In Illinois there hasn't been a Quad pick 4 in 1,000 drawings so I think it may be worth playing all quads for the next 3 months. at 50 cents you would be ahead if any one hits in the next three months.50 cents X 13 drawins per week X 10 numbers = $65

Which is your school of thought?
RJOH, I completely agree with your statement. It's possible to correctly guess the numbers, but it's not possible to predict the numbers. These two things are not the same. If you have ever won by picking your own numbers then you guessed correctly. If it were possible to predict winning numbers, then you would need to only play one set of numbers because you would know (for sure) which numbers are going to hit.So using a system, or a wheel, or a mathematical formula that gives you more than one

Powerball is on a winners streak again!
I play starting at the $100 Million level only 'cause I take a slight trip to get to Georgia to buy the tickets. If Mega was cheating with the first 11 or 12 draws I wouldn't play and something tells me most of the people here wouldn't play.It would introduce quite a few other options like select a state to win where they have a winner in a state to raise slumping sales. Eventually you know they would get caught and goodbye mega and possibly goodbye most multi-state lotteries. I don't feel th

Powerball is on a winners streak again!
Yeah, it's happened before in Mega Millions and they certainly aren't on a winning streak. How the hell do players keep getting so lucky with the Powerball!? Why can't Mega Millions go on a winning streak as well!!? Even with odds of 175 million to one it could happen. Watch, I'll bet players keep winning jackpots under $100 million even after they go to 5/55 + 1/42. To think, Powerball once boasted that there was no lottery game more profitable for any state! Look at it now!

Should we feel stupid playing the lotto?
I can see the point of what my friend is saying, but I think it's unfair of him to lump all people who play the lottery into one category and label them as irresponsible. If I won the lottery, according to how much I won I would make plans to retire (I'm 30) buy a large piece of land in the country, build a plain house, drive a plain car and live out the rest of my life in comfortable obscurity, where I can get up early in the morning with the sun and go to bed when the sun goes down (as it is no

Are we seeing the results of CA?
The key to the matrix change wont be visible until after the $100 million barrier is crossed. The sales increases from the $12 Mill draw to say (sub) $100 Mill draw are basically due to the increase in customers thanks to our friends in California. Where the matrix change should really be obvious is when we pass the $100 Million draw to say possibly $300 or $400 Million. The new matrix should allow super hot post $100 million runs for one week, maybe two weeks or possibly three. This will be w

CA=pari-mutuel prizes for MM
here's where pari-mutuel prizes can work in CA's favor, and against them at the same time. they have the percentages at the wrong ends. you want a smaller percentage of the prize pool at the 2nd prize, and a larger perceentage at the lower levels. that way, the lower levels get better prizes, while the 2nd prize winner doesn't get screwed. the raising of percentages for lower prizes would increase player support, since that's what the players go for. they know that their odds of hitting the j

Texas Lottery accused of over-inflating jackpots
It's really kind of foolish to play gambling games which have odds that are so high or bad, unless you do have a way of winning enough money on them, now the pick 3 might not pay as much, but $80 in your hand (after you win) are very much better than a $ 1, 000, 000. in the sky (that you probably will never win). People let greed control their better economic sense. There is a saying, A fool and his money will soon part , let us not gamble, unless you can afford to lose that money, or unless you

if you could play any state lottery
Yeah VA is cool too. I don't know the odds on the scratch games. However, I like the midday drawings, lotto South, and the $.25 on Cash 5. I can't wait until I try FL lotto. The scratch games are very cool and I would try mega money and lotto. Who knows I may play a grouper. Play QP for all the game and get one free ticket. Not a bad idea. Now if they would have powerball lol.

Middle Georgians have mixed feelings about California joining lottery
As a Georgian, I too have mixed feelings. Yes, the MM jackpots might get bigger with the addition of Cali's population playing, but the longer odds may be the real reason that the JP's grow. This is on the heels of Georgia's Fantasy 5 being overhauled recently, giving a free quick pick ticket for matching 2 of 5. What I see is some 15 to 19 thousand more tickets each day going right back into the mix, thus diluting the large jackpots by simply flooding the game. Previously, one had to match 3 to
