The Math and The Lottery
lchoro -But IF there is a bias such as you mention it's going to be the wiseguys , the analysts, who find it. And it's only those who utilize hot/hot or cold/cold trending who can and will use that bias to their advantage. It won't be the Quick-Pick player. But let's face it. With lottery payout percentages falling generally between 50% and 60%, you'd have to find some sort of bias to tilt the odds of winning almost 2 to 1 in order to have a chance at long-term profits. And that just doesn't

Who here plays roulette?
Strategies based on statistics and observations of the table almost never work; the odds are massively stacked against them. Besides, they are redundant (and actually have been for years). Why? Custom-built computers using Netwonian physics algorithms can now be purchased. True, you can't take them into casinos (at least, not openly), but they do offer up to 44% over chance. For the whole story, read 'The Eudaemonic Pie' (a.k.a. 'The Newtonian Casino) by Thomas Bass, ISBN 0-595-14236-2. This is

Gail Howards New Website
i seen it also, been reading about her winners too. reading them makes me think that i can win too. even though the odds are of course staggering. funny i have her software and there are def. things that pop out and give you a better chance to play winning numbers by wheeling, but when you wheel say 30 numbers out of the 52 that is currently present in mega mil. does everyone think the combinations are the best they can be? i know the win guarantee is what it is. and if i have 200 dollars to pla

B-day Game
I think this would be pretty cool. This game's odds would be 1:366. How to play? Choose a month and a day of the year for either $1 or 50 cents. The drawing would have 4 machines. 1st a machine with 12 balls (Months) then the other 3 machines with either 1-31, 1-30, or 1-29. When a month is drawn out of the first machine then the machine with how many days in that month would draw 1 number. What do ya'll think? I like games that are odd or different from the others. Since a lot of peop

My Version Of The Georgia Lottery
Well, not much to say. Lotto South has about the same odds/payout ratio as Lotto Georgia. And Cash 3 and Cash 4 both have midday drawings, and have pair payouts. There are only two things I would change.Quick DrawCould stand to increase the payouts a little. Make the 2 spot prize $10 instead of $9, for example.Fantasy 5They need to advertise an estimated jackpot, not just post how much is in the jackpot after the drawing and just put it on the website. Also, increase the dang 4 out of 5 payoffs!

mega millions poll
Actually, it's $250,000 not $175,000 when CA joins. I don't think they will split a fixed amount of $250,000, and the actual prizes should statistically average $250,000 per ticket. All set prizes in lottery games are based on the expected number of players sharing in the prize pool, and it is calculated by a formula: odds of winning at particular prize level * % of prize pool allocated to this specific prize level * % of lottery sales returned as prizes = fixed prize amountCurrently applyin

NY Lottery... look in here
If the NY lottery actually does read this they should know that if they did what Florida is doing and raised payouts which equals great publicity and more winners than they would have even more profits. I am an ex NY'er and never play any of their games when home as the payouts and odds are horrocious. Take Five is the only game I would even think of playing . With the population NY has it could make a fortune if properly run. Instead they would rather just pillage hard working NYers. Now won

question about new power and mega changes
I have thought about this before. I would also like couple of people getting rich than just one. But on the other hand, if I'm lucky enough to beat the unbelieveable odds of 1 in 135 million (MM) or 1 in 120 million (PB) I dont want to share the jackpot with anyone else. Because winning a jackpot is a once in a life time thing (for most people).Thats just how I feel. But if I ever won and there were multiple jackpot winners, it wouldnt take me long to get over it. After all, we are still ta

Straight-only option for Prediction Pages
four4me,Rick is absolutely correct in what he said. It is a totally level playing field, no matter how many picks you make.Posting predictions is just like playing the lottery for real. If you think that someone who plays $100 a day on Pick 3 is going to do better in the long term than someone who plays $10 per day on the same game then you don't understand the odds. However, like all forms of gambling, someone who bets more is usually going to either lose more or gain more. Have you ever expl

How much do you play per drawing?
I am a firm believer in the $1 is all it takes to win philosophy, so I only play a $1 quickpick per drawing no matter the jackpot size. Certainly, I am tempted to play more when a jackpot is huge, but my odds really are not that much more improved going from 1:41 million to 10:41 million (for CA SuperLotto). I have no system for picking numbers, and I really only play to win the jackpot. The smaller prizes do not motivate me to play. What do you all think?
