N.D. LOTTERY: Board supports two extra games
North Dakota gamblers may have their pick of two additional lotteries next year, which offer smaller prizes and less daunting odds than the more widely played Powerball game. A state advisory board agreed Tuesday to support North Dakota's entry into the Hot Lotto and Wild Card 2 lotteries. Both are operated by the Multistate Lottery Association of West Des Moines, Iowa, which runs Powerball. The association already has approved North Dakota's request to sell Powerball tickets and state officials

hit'sville for all states 7/12 thru 7/19
So what are we looking at here? 20 picks for 49 different pick 3 games per day for 8 days. We're looking at 7840 picks. The odds for a straight is 1/1000. Following the odds you should get 7 or 8 straights, 23 3 way boxes, 47 6 way boxes. Total spent $7840. Following the odds, you lose half you money no matter how you look at it. Unless you do better than the odds. I'll follow these just to see how well you do.

Seeing patterns where none exist
In any lottery game if the numbers have an even distribution of 50/50 of half high/low or odd/even the odds never change. People confuse odds and probability. Each time you toss a coin the odds are 50/50 but the probability of you tossing 30 heads in a row is over 3 Billion to one. Starting with the 2nd. toss.......your chances go up. Probability they say, is when Math meets common sence.

Beating The Lottery
I agree with hypersonig. When you look at the possible parameters of a lottery and the actual parameters of the drawings, the actual parameters are smaller. With a system, most players are recording and staying within the most popular and smaller parameters hoping to improve their odds for a win. I've never counted the possible combinations within the smaller parameters but if the combinations are reduced by 20%, the odds are still large. Take the PowerBall for example, the odds are 1:120M, re

Math and probability help or not ?
Perhaps I've misjudged you, Thomas, because it seems you are unwilling or unable to entertain the slightest possibility there might be a different perspective on these games other than your own version of the one time single dvent kind. Odds never change. People confuse the words odds and probability. Using your example of the Coin Toss dvent, in your version of this game no one can predict the outcome and I agree. The odds are always 50/50. In the version I was trying to present to you
