British Columbia Lottery taking bets on US election
When NAFTA was first proposed the Clintons were telling us how it would be good for America, not sure if you remember that.
Look what Hillary is saying about NAFTA now.
As for her not having a twitter war, whoop tee do........she had a self inflicted security breach encounter with the world.

Robinson's buy 6.2 Million $ home on 320 acrea in TN
With $190 million after taxes, even spending $20 million will leave them $170 million. Any decent financial expert should easily return a minimum of 2% yearly and this would equate to $3.4 million annually. Their property tax is under $20k per year, upkeep/utilities on the property might run $20k monthly but may very well be less while security would be their biggest expenditure at $30k monthly (3 separate guards on rotating shifts every 8 hours 24/7).
With over $280k of monthly income, all

How much do you all think is enough to retire on?
It depends on how much income you need per year to feel secure. As demonstrated in the 'What is a Life Changing Win thread, that number varies significantly. Some of us could live quite well on 50K per year. Others will barely scrape by on 3 million per year.
So figure out what your number is, and how many years you would need to live on it. Then go from there.
And yes, 2nd place with the multiplier would be enough for me to retire on, but I'm a little older than you. My mother lived into

Share information on the 1 million a yr for life 596 scratch off
So we finally cashed in the 50 thousand dollar ticket. We cashed it in at Resorts in Ozone Park. We ended up paying a little over 18 thousand in taxes and the check was 31 thousand.
ALL the small prize tickets that we have saved since 2008 were cashed in for about 50 thousand cash. Because they are small prizes we did not have to pay taxes on it. They even provided security escorts out because it was so much cash. I have to say the NYS Lottery was very helpful and they were very good to

Pennsylvania lottery winners now subject to state tax on prizes
Now let's get some facts straight, the 47% are working age people who work only part time or not at all.
The seniors, worked and paid taxes all their lives, they paid in Social Security and are entitled to it.
They Paid into Medicare and pay premiums for supplemental health insurance, nothing in your reasoning suggests putting people to work and creating a healthy economy.
Those countries to not provide free anything, they take that money by force from those who work hard and are succes

Can a lottery Cash Value be more than the Annuity Certain?
If someone wins 300 million or so, why squabble over a few thousand one way or another. Take the money and run! At least the government has no control over it after you pay the taxes on the lump sum. And incidentally, what will the tax rate be in 10 or 20 years? That's right, no one knows.
Also...Currently there's talk in DC where the feds would confiscate pensions to cover the debt and re-pay retirees over time with something similar to social security payments. LOL! If they did that, what

Connecticut men charged with rigging machines in lottery scheme
Rudeboy805. Anyone can go to the Illinois Lottery Headquarters' website, read about their RNG games and how their is more than one security measure built in ... so no worries!
Anyhow, it hurts not to be able to play one's own state Major On-Line Lottery Games because they are RNG, which is unsafe; lately found to be tampered with regularly and more being discovered in several states (why not mine, too). This is because we know that if each state's Lottery Headquarters, instead, paid for the

Happy Independence Day
Kingofearth,
Here's how the 'extreme,e socialism' of Social Security and Medicare work.
After not getting a COLA for the last couple of years people on SS, veterans on disability, etc...are going to get a $2 raise and Medicare is going to go up $27. A healthy balance you say?
Oh yeah, the excuse for not passing a COLA last time was lower gas prices.

How soon can you collect winnings (over $600 to under $50,000) in Massachusetts?
Additional information to my previous post about claiming a prize:
The winner must also show proof of social security number (i.e. card).
Proof of address: that would be a copy of a recent bill such as credit card, electricity, cell phone, car insurance bill, etc.
