software for single digit lottery
Quote: Originally posted by SirMetro on March 14, 2005One can select 8 of the possible 10 numbers and win???...WOW...I wish the odds was that good here. I ain't too good at percentages...but it sounds like it's stacked in favor of the player instead of the Lottery there..80%. So I guess my question is...why can you not buy 1 ticket with 0 thru 7 and the other ticket with 3 thru 9? If the winning number is between 3 and 7, you would win twice, otherwise you would only win once? Or am I misunderst

Ion Saliu's "wheel632" - newbie questions
The filters basically are used to eliminate combinations. When you set a filter max or min, you filter out several combinations.Try downloading his MDIEditor and Lotto WE program and read the lottery tutorial. It is very well written. The way to make the filters work is to look for very large or very small filter values as compared to the median. These rare occurances produce very few combinations. Try Three1max=1 or Four1max =1. They dont happen very often, but when they do, your odds are u

Texas Lottery Approves Mega Millions Changes
Quote: Originally posted by jsk2001 on March 14, 2005i meant wait and see how ticket sales in california for mega millions turns out first before trying to change the matrix and such. This way we can get it right instead of just trying to guess how people in california are going to play. I'd like to see the new rules take effect Jan 2006.Odds of winning the jackpot goes up 30%The 2nd and 3rd prizes go up more than 30% so kinda nice.Exactly. I posted similar words a short time ago. My reasoning i

A bit more research turns up some interesting info.http://www.kodava.org/coffeeland/Dec2003/coffee122503.htmhttp://www.kodava.org/coffeeland/Dec2003/coffee122603.htmBoth of these and many other articles indicate how single number lottery is illegal. Although, am not sure exactly how it all works, it seems that a secondary wager is placed on a legitimate lottery and odds of winning is only 1 in 100, leaving the con artist with the big win and the bettor deep in debt to the con artist.Gmatkar, I w

world lottery
We don't trust the Indiana lottery, with prizes they size they are. Not the NY lottery. Here we're talking about prizes larger than the GNP of a lot of countries. Buying a ticket would get you lower odds than buying a raffle ticket for a giveaway junker when the carnival comes to town. I think I'd rather see something to rush the larger jackpots in the multi-state lotteries. I don't entirely trust those, but I'd see them as paragons of security and virtue compared to a multi-national with pr

I'm not all that righteous.JackI think those of us who study the numbers, see patterns and pick our own numbers are trying to accomplished in 10-50 lines what is accomplished in thousands of lines with quickpicks and that is impossible. What are the ODDS/Probability?
Thanks johnph...... actually the Tenn. draw just started last year in march 04. The increment choices were only 300 and the only other next level was 400. Soooo..... I decided to go with the 400 level because it was closer. 365 + 12 =372 not 400 but hopefully the point still stood. Expected hit rate should average around 30 per 100. ...or in this specific case 21 or 22 or 112 or 113 total.....even though the chart is for 400 instead of 372. Ofcourse, you would be the only one to notice...

What are the ODDS/Probability?
I wish ya Luck Lottomike but I can tell ya this........... its a whole lot closer to the end of this roll than the beginning ! LOL I would throw at least couple of quarters the other way (just in case) tomorrow night... I was in Vegas playing Craps one time and saw a young fella throw a lot of money down on the field bet section of the table. I didn't want to tell him that is what regular players call the Suckers Bet and before the days of Political Correctness ...they called it the La

What are the ODDS/Probability?
Well, Lottomike .....I have never seen it before and that covers several years of playing my own state. Think of it this way.... If we cut the game up into thirds and you and I keep 2 thirds to play ....and we give someone else only 1/3 rd. to play. Then they beat us every single day for 15 days in a row ! 2 to 1 odds ....... and we get killed for 15 days in a row..... and thats just so far. Remember it hasn't stopped yet. Hell....it looked like a good bet to me over a week ago.
