Pigskin PB "Challenge" for Saturday 02-12
Chief,I'm not playing the PB tonight, I'm just participating in the PB challenge to test my system and to be ready when the jackpot gets bigger. I hope your bell curve distribution system works for you, however my system is based on how a defined group of numbers behaved in past drawings, so far it needs a little work.I drive over to Indiana when the jackpot is $100M+ for tickets, right now it just the MM and Ohio649 that I'm playing. The Ohio649 is $12M, so I probably play it today. Even tho

Powerball as you have never seen it
RJOh,Odds of the second prize I have no idea. If all numbers are covered there would be 41 first five hits, right?Playing the 5/53 would make 119@24,115 or 221@12,985 text files which would be a lot easier than working with 120million.At work we had a lottery club for the Ohio Super Lotto. 20 people, 5 bucks a week, played 2 and 3 went into the kitty. When the jackpot hit 20 million we would bet part of the kitty. We did it for a couple of years and spent thousands and the best we ever got was f

Mega Millions lottery jackpots will get bigger, quicker
The odds of record-setting jackpots in the Mega Millions lottery will improve tremendously after California joins the multistate game later this year. There have been three jackpots of more than $300 million in the United States -- two for Mega Millions, one for Powerball -- and Everett says a $400 million jackpot certainly is possible for Mega Millions with California on board. The probability of getting a high jackpot doesn't increase after a new state joins. Let's say the lottery only sells $

"Posting Numbers"
Quote: Originally posted by fja on February 10, 2005Jking, you might be right, about that, but I've been on LP for over 3 years and I've seen alot of numbers posted, and I usually post mine with the megaball separated, I've seen maybe a handful of people hit 4 and 1 guy hit five, I myself cant get past 3+0, you would think that the odds of some one copying your numbers and playing them on the off chance that you will hit the jackpot, would be big....I would think that if people were playing my

KY Tic Tac Cash Chart
I've been updating the lottery payout and percentage information on my website and have run into a problem. In KY's Tic Tac Cash game my calculations for odds on the 3, 4 and 5 line level differ from the information provided on the Kentucky lottery's website. If I'm in error this would also affect the total payouts and payout percentages posted there. I left the calculation chart on the page. If anyone has time on their hands I'd appreciate an independent analysis to determine where I might have

Mega Millions when CA joins
I hope they change it to anything else other than a $2 price ticket. The game needed to be changed BEFORE California. Now with California the average jackpot will really fall. I think we will see yet another year of low jackpots. The average mega pot is already $6 million less than powerball. With each added state it gets lower. If I had to pick it would be a 5/60 plus 1/33 that would give enough space on the play forms to have a void area incase of mistakes. Seven rows for the pick 5 and four ro

California to decide multi-state lottery question today
Cash-hungry California may soon team up with either Powerball or Mega Millions, the popular multistate lotteries that entice players with head-reeling jackpots.State lottery commissioners are poised today to decide whether to join one of the long-odds, big-payday games for the first time in the 20-year history of California's lottery.Barring legislative or court challenges, Californians could be competing with gamblers from across the country for supersized jackpots by June.At the same time, how

California Lottery to consider multi-state game
If California does join a game it will be Mega Millions. I mean Pennsylvania was a big state to join Powerball and a state with over 30 million...wow. Whatever game they do decide....even though I know it will be MM expect a matrix change. Probably a ticket price change to $2 and starting jackpots at least $20,000,000. They would not have to increase the matrix that much. I say they would make it 5/60 X 60. I believe that would make the odds 1 in 500 million which should be about right. I

LOTTO South: 2-5-05, It's Big!
LOTTO South looks like the best jackpot game for the money right now to me. It's up to a rare $19,000,000, and the odds of hitting the jackpot are 1 in 13,983,816. That makes it a fairly attractive overlay. I know that it's only played in three states, so there probably aren't a lot of people on this board who follow it, but do any of you have any predictions about LOTTO South for this Wednesday's drawing? The numbers I like for this drawing are:5-8-9-10-19-21-24-25-30-49.I still haven't decided
