Powerball/Mega Milions Jackpots
Less than 40% of sales to the players really stinks. The 10 to 12 jump is just due to sales. If they sell more (like after a large jackpot is won) it goes from 10 to 13 or higher. While CA's lottery may not go to 100 million as often I'm just tired of people whining about megamillions or powerball's odds. Yes they are very bad but other games exist. Other games with much lower jackpots. The whole point to Megamillions or Powerball is to have a large jackpot and it's been 3 years since they broke 3

Powerball/Mega Milions Jackpots
The sales don't support a higher starting jackpot. The problems with the games getting hit more often is a flaw in the current games not the starting pot. Only way to change it is to change the game (or the price of the game). I've been hoping they change either game for quite a while now. The only reason The Big Game (the lottery megamillions came from) had such a large pot was it was in very few states and so had few players. As the games have added players from joining states the games haven'

Pittsburgh newsstand sold winning Powerball lottery ticket
Quote: Originally posted by CASH Only on January 26, 2005 Jimmy:I'm guessing the next change to Powerball will be a $2 price WITHOUT Power Play. No way that would work. About half the number of people play Canada 6/49 now then they did when it was just $1. And the odds are much better there. Could you imagine how P/Oed the players would be when find out they now had to pay 2 bucks for a 1 in 120 million chance. There would be mass exodus from that game and to either Mega Millions or their own in

Success with lottery systems
You shouldn't be buying tickets until you're winning on paper. Lottery software often has enough paths, to make the odds of picking the correct path almost a lottery in itself. Now that you know the correct answer to the last drawing, run the software every way possible and see if there were any paths to a good win. Keep records of that works and what not to do. Winning is work, you will earn your prize. If you can never or very rarely find a path to a win, the software isn't suited to the game

PA Lucky For Life Lotto
I am rarely in the state of PA but my system often matches 3 of 6, but the top prize is a tad weak in light of Powerball. If you calculate your life expectancy and add up the 36K a year vs. a modest Powerball jackpot, Powerball pays a lot more. But the attraction for Life is the easier odds, the instant win chance (if the terminals are honest!) and the ease of getting at least 3 numbers. They do have a scratchoff Win For Life also, same price, so another advantage of course is you get to pick nu

living off of the pick 3s
Justin, your 1. is right on. Bankroll, Bankroll,Bankroll. But 10 G's wouldn't be enough to make a living on. Also people please remember, I don't care what system your using the odds are against you and you will lose in the long run. If people think they can nickel and dime a win everyday and end up with a fortune or enough to live on that's going to be almost impossible. It's hard to even win enough to play for free for the year or make a small profit. That should be are starting point as player

574*GA ties Max Out*for doubles, Combined
Good chance you'll be right, tntea. I especially like the odds of GA's next double at least including 0 (011 022 033 044 055 066 077 088 099) or 1 or 6. Below are GA's last 11 Combined doubles. The corresponding hot-to-cold scale (same as CalifDude's 10 digit number), tracking doubles only, is: 47839-52160 30-Dec 020 1-Jan 774 1-Jan 377 2-Jan . 161 3-Jan . 898 6-Jan 434 6-Jan 828 7-Jan 995 9-Jan 474 10-Jan 833 12-Jan 447

Scratcher Payouts
You're pretty close to being spot on - the payout percentage sounds about right for scratcher tickets. In any dvent, in order to obtain an exact percentage, one would have to know exactly how many tickets are being printed. Then you would know just how many winners in each category there would be and be better able to translate the odds down into probable decimals to determine how many winning tickets there actually are at each payout level.Regular California lottery game payouts are all pari-mu

Scratcher Payouts
I have a question regarding the payout percentages of scratchers.Below is the payout table of a California $1 Easy 10 scratcher:How do I figure out the actual payout as a percentage? Do I multiply the amount won by the odds of winning that prize and sum all the numbers? I took 1/10+2/31+3/71+...+1000/480000. When I do that, I get a payout of 58.5% (I counted the free ticket prize as $1). This seems really low to me. May someone please correct me if I am wrong? Also, does anyone know what is
