Florida's ridiculous ball and machine testing scam
I'm still waiting for an answer from the lottery officials here for my earlier question... I hope I won't have to hold my breath too much longer. Here it is again, in case they missed it. So, can someone please explain (preferably a lottery official... we know you're here) how with all this security in place, with all the witnesses, and the video taping that goes on, how the weight of the balls is going to change in the time frame between the pre-test draws, the official draw, and the post dr

Neural Net Lottery Picker
One of my anti-malware programs says that those programs have trojans in them, that happens a lot with programs made by stoopendaal, but he says that his programs are clean. Maybe you would have to dis-able your security software if you want to download and use his software. I myself have not tried to use those new programs from stoopendaal, nor most of his programs, I might one day try them, if I don't die first of old age or of something else.

Basics of a Successful System
Stack, you've been around a while and have contributed to similar threads in much the same way as you have here. Also, you and I have brain stormed the pre and post test 'integrity' of the game and I'm going share, again, what I feel is the reality of it all. So, the commission spends all this money on fancy draw machines and highly quality-controlled ball sets, right? I understand that even with the best of production process, there's still the possibility of variation and bias of an end produc

Cynthia Stafford's Home In Foreclosure and Bentley For Sale
I agree that anyone who has the kind of wealth that Cynthia Stafford had should not have had a mortgage. From what I remember her home was $2.9million. I would not advocate paying property taxes years in advance but instead opening up a separate trust account that would fulfill the yearly obligation. HOA monthly dues can get pricey especially if the neighborhood offer high end perks such as security, clubhouse, pools/tennis courts/playgrounds and so forth. You do sign away certain rights when

Cynthia Stafford's Home In Foreclosure and Bentley For Sale
Considering all the traveling celebrities must do for filming and product marketing, it would make almost no sense to buy a property they don't want. They want comfort, peace and security while there and will pay for accommodations that meet their requirements. Then they leave. I see no difference between that someone chartering a jet for $20k as opposed to either buying a $20 million jet or traveling commercial. Why deal with the headaches of commercial travel when you don't have to, but why bl

Police track down burglary suspects by tracing stolen lottery tickets
noise-gate, I hope that Josh listens to you but do not count on it. Prison life is worse than being on the lam. The homeowner had the latest security and surprised the culprits. I am thankful that nobody was hurt physically. But you do feel invaded when a burglary occurs.

Do Rng Computers Know What Numbers Not To Pick?
Your characterization that people are the weak point is true, but your scenario for making it work for lottery drawings still has problems that prevent RNGs from being a good drawing method. For one, the lotteries (or any organization trying to protect the integrity of its RNG) would never provide a running stream of the output, for fear that a vulnerability could possibly be discovered. Secondly, it still doesn't provide protection against a hacker. The lotteries today do use hardware-based

KA-BOOM! 4th of July PA Millionaire Raffle! It's On!
Far as I'm aware, there's no change in the policy. First name, initial of last name, and county (or state, if outside of PA) of the winner is supposed to be published. PA Lottery reports large winners of other numbers and instant games in a timely manner. The raffle winners page is likely not being updated due to simple neglect - lack of time and care. Makes one wonder what else is being neglected ... RNG equipment, draw security, personnel integrity, etc. While it's unlikely, the lack of tim
