CT Lottery quiet as uncomfortable allegations pile up
For a moment it looked like some meaningful information might be released to the public this week about the latest upheaval at the Connecticut Lottery Corp. (CLC) this time in the form of an order Monday that lottery Vice President Chelsea Turner be placed on an indefinite leave, six days after disclosing in sworn testimony that she contacted the FBI in about 2014 with suspicions of wrongdoing by a superior.
But it hasn't turned out that way.

By Todd Northrop
This week we are seeing the largest lottery jackpots in history up for grabs to anyone spending as little as $2 for a ticket.
The $1.6 billion Mega Millions jackpot is certainly getting most of the attention, but the $620 million Powerball jackpot would be just as life-changing to the winner.

Five times since Jan. 1, Spillane has gone to Massachusetts State Lottery headquarters in Braintree to claim a winning ticket. The total windfall to date is $6 million.

So there were knowing smiles inside the Catonsville convenience store last week as the retired truck driver recounted how the terminal initially seemed to reject the first $10 ticket, prompting him to select the eight charmed numbers again.
And he ain't won $15 since! another player s
