pacemaker, don't give up...when you do, your numbers come out!We do not hear about people who forgot to play their usual Powerball numbers, and as a result of an emergency or some other unforseen circumstance... missed playing...and their numbers were drawn. I don't know about you, but I would most likely be in a mental institution. What are the odds of your Powerball numbers coming out again in your lifetime? How about people who made a mad dash to their favorite Seven Eleven, missing the subm

Ohio pick 4 payout question..
yes I understand that Jani, but I am not playing box...I am playing straight with a back up bet...the ticket cost 1.00 (total). According to the website the payout is 2600, if youre number comes in straight or boxed, because you bought a straight/back up ticket...Now if I bought a .50 cent ticke t for straight it would be a 2500 win.If I bought a .50 cent ticket it for a box it would be 100.But if I buy a .50 bet (1.00 cost ticket) and the number comes up straight or boxed I get 2600...Thats how

$290 MILLION:" Mega Millions lottery jackpot increased
In the last drawing almost 60% of all the combos were bought. With they hype this huge jackpot is getting (which by the way makes the game more fun) I say 70-80% will be bought for this Friday's drawing. Slim chance that their will be a rollover. But just one more rollover means the highest lottery jackpot ever. Just one more. It took over two years to get even close to the $500 million that they once projected. Very unlikely it will happen again soon. SO JUST ONE MORE ROLLOVER...haha. E

quick pick is better
I agree with Pick-4_Master; you really can do much better than any machine, with only a minimal amount of effort. There are as many ways to pick lotto numbers as there are different combinations. Some people play birthdays, anniversaries or other dates that are special or significant to them (calendar numbers). The problem with this type of selection is that, while these numbers are significant in your life, they may not be significant to the machines spitting out the numbered balls.Other people

Mega Millions sets a new record
Quote: Originally posted by Tx_Mega_Player on June 30, 2004Quote: Originally posted by prob987 on June 30, 2004It's way too early, but would anyone care to speculate on the ultimate jackpot size should it rollover one more time?I made this prediction in a different forum, but I will repeat this here. I predict that this run has one roll left. I think that it will be won on 7/6, by a single ticket, and the jackpot will be 450 million. As I calculate it there is roughly a one in twelve chance of th

M&M Predictions Tuesday
RJOh:The more I looked at my program at work, I knew something looked different from last night at home. The program at work is updated by downloads and has an incorrect entry. At home I do everything manually. So I was originally correct by saying 7.5 average from the last draw and 7.6 overall. Because of the missed entry. The 41 from two draws ago is recorded as a 42 . So instead of being 26 6 = 4.333 it should have be said as 45 6 = 7.5 . It doesn't really matter what approach is g

Psychic predictions (I am getting results
Well, I can't believe that I overlooked that I picked 29 and it actually got drawn, in addition to the date screw-up with the Mega number. So I actually got a 1 out of 6. Given that in three weeks, I have a 3 out of 6, and two 1 out of 6, I am actually significantly ahead of the random expectations for this lottery type. I am going to have to calculate the actual odds so I can quantify this. I'll keep going, of course. And so that I don't clutter up this thread with my personal drivel, maybe I

July El Gordo Sales End in One Day
A last-minute flurry of excitement is expected at El Gordo Online, where sales end Tuesday night (June 29) at midnight for the world's biggest lottery draw to be held July 3.The El Gordo lottery, which is run by the government of Spain, is world-renowned for two massive drawings that take place in July and around Christmas every year. Although the July drawing will dispense $171 million (USD) to almost 400,000 winners, the Christmas draw is by far the biggest, with over $2 billion in payouts to

Heavy Sales Push Mega Millions Jackpot to $220 Million
With the excitement growing in anticipation of Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing, lottery forecasters today revised the estimated jackpot upward to $220 million. The adjusted jackpot shows how strong Mega Millions sales have been since Friday's drawing did not produce a jackpot winner. That drawing did produce nearly 1.3 million winning tickets for prizes ranging from $2 to $175,000. The estimated jackpot amount is based on sales in each of the eleven Mega Millions states since the last drawing.T

Are Lotteries Rigged
Rigging the lottery could only benefit one party . . . the state. The more times the lotto turns over the higher the jackpot. The higher the jackpot, the more player interest and sales. The state rigs the lottery by making it harder to win. Texas has gone from a straight six ball 6-50 game to a bonus ball 5/44/44 since its inception in 1992 to make it harder to win. Individuals who try to rig the game in their favor face odds almost as impossible as just buying one ticket and hoping for
