Are Lotteries Rigged
Just a point about magnetically charged balls. In my example, I wasn't saying that only a few balls in a set could be magnetically charged. In order for this to work with the security, auditing firms, etc., in place....every ball in the sets would have to be capable of receiving a magnetic charge, but during a drawing only the desired numbers are charged. Also I would like to point out that what four4me quoted from my post is only a small portion. My post was intended to be read in its entir

Mass. root reduction question(blackapple)
hoping you can help me. even if you pm me. still do not understand how to reduce the amount of plays when I end up with say 3 roots as 3-5-9 which gives me 3-12-21,5-14-23,and 9-18-27 in 3 columns to look at. I eliminate the 21-27 group b ecause of the odds of coming out. I even drop the 1-10 group, but how in the world can I reduce the other column in the 11-20 range. Deeply appreciate your help or anyone who can contribute info here. Thanks again.

Interesting Facts re: PB & Mega
True...Powerball offers a better chance of hitting the jackpot, however, Megamillions offers the better chance of getting 5/52 as opposed to 5/53 for Powerball. For the purpose of this discussion, I'd say winning is matching the 5 white balls for the 2nd prize, and of course the jackpot. I agree that if one's goal is to at least match 5, then it would be wise to also play your states pick/5 game, as the odds of hitting all 5 are much less than either PB or Mega. One thing I wanted to poi

Interesting Facts re: PB & Mega
As we all know, Powerball and Megamillions are the two major lotteries in the U.S. Currently 26 states, Washington DC, and the U.S. Virgin Islands participate in PB for a combined population base of 89,837,322 people. Although only 11 states currently participate in Megamillions, the combined population base of those states is 118,261,168! The largest state not currently participating in either PB or Mega is California with a population of 35,484,453. Next would be Florida at 17,019,068. Odd

IL Hawthorne racing meet-Exactas
Sandy, you had mentioned in a previous post that PINK didn't like it when it was wet out. I went to the OTB and placed some $2 bets for my son and I then went to watch the races and was dismayed that the track/turf was so wet. We were only out $16 so it was no big deal. PINK is a good looking horse though. The one good thing that came out of this is the odds will be decent for her in her next race and they say racing on a wet surface gives a horse a good workout for his next race.So keep me

Powerball Jackpot Reaches $145 Million
Quote: Originally posted by siloviki on April 30, 2004I think the winner will be from Indiana - AGAIN! If you check the MULTI-STATE LOTTERY ASSOCIATION website (www.musl.com) you will find that Indiana has had at least one winner every year since 1994. They already had one this year, four in 2003, and two in 2002. In fact back in 1996 they had four winners but one winner was from West Virginia who bought his ticket in Indiana! The MUSL website also stated that Idaho had two big winners back in 1
