i am going to try and be nice to you because we might become neighbors someday (i am possibly moving to victoria b.c). you present an impressive mathematical arguement. i am not exactly a mathematical genius (or a genius of any other sort for that matter). but all one needs to shoot down your theory (don't take it personal) or anyone else's that make a case that you can develope a system in order to beat the odds is that it is a totally random event. it cannot ever be reduced to a mathematical

If you won a large amount of money...
I dont understand ...why would it be any harder to hit the lottery again once you Hit it once...I believe that if you win the lottery your odds are still 135,000,000 to 1 that it will happen again.... lottery draws do not have odds... only people make odds....you know what they say the first million is always the hardest....

Powerball PowerPicks for June 29
ok yeah im going to throw down 200 beans for those picks. those picks really are as good as a quick pick unless you beat the odds and the drawwed numbers fall into those number and still you must beat the odds and match all 6 to win. 200 lines out of 80,000,000 is still INCREDIBLE ODDS against you. 200 of your lines have the same chance as 200 of my quick pick lines.

Lottery Math
Another way to look at the math when you play the Biggame is while the overall odds of picking the winning combination is 1:135,145,920, the odds of winning at least $2 is 1:43, so your odds of getting your dollar back is 1:22. Not bad for a chance at being a millionare.RJOh

Lottery Math
Naw, if the 6/40 odds are 4 million to one and you buy two tickets each faces off against 2 million combinations, buy 4 tickets odds are a million to one, 8 tickets half a million to one, 16 tickets a quarter million to one, 32 tickets well you get my drift. Good copy and paste, where'd that come from Motley Fool or other fool source? It used to be part of an article why a thousand tickets or one ticket had zero odds of winning.

Now it's official
Your odds of sleeping with Britney Spears are better than winning this thing. Your odds of making it into the Major League Baseball and hitting a grand slam with 2 outs in the bottom of the ninth in the 7th game of the World Series are better. PLAY WITH MODERATION! Don't go OVER your budget! Play only when the jackpot gets really high and don't spend a lot of money on tickets. The odds are the same for all, and people are going to win, it could be you! But, the odds are so great. I'll play but o

MUSL "Hot Lotto" $1.7 million ($930,000 cash) Saturday 5/4
Hi Everybody,Just to let you know, the REAL Odds for winning in the PA Super 6/69 numbers is 1 in 113,000,000, (yes, you read correctly)-- quite ridiculous indeed.Because of the astronomical odds, more and more money gets wasted as the weeks go by on this particular game by PA folks who don't think to try the better odds NJ 6/49 lotto (that is if they live across the border from NJ like I do) :-)I agree with the earlier writer who suggested we drop the Super 6 in favor of the Hot Lotto which wou
