Help! Texsans I need a third digit 2/18/
Oh, Rojo, the glory belongs to Blackapple. The main part of the prediction was done by him. I just kind of eye-balled the numbers and noticed that we needed an all-odd number because all evens had come out before. I did not pick the 1 or the 7 because that would have made it a double with 2 of the numbers and I didn't think a double was going to hit. So, I decided to pick the other 2 odds left, 3 or 5. But, the workout (after 536) I did for you and the Texans on a different thread still shows

Probability of a rollover in PB and MM
It sounds surprising, but when you do the math, not really. The 40% of combinations amounts to approximately 54,000,000 different combinations. When the game was The Big Game, the jackpot odds were something like 1 in 76 million. Therefore, the number of combinations bought in this draw would have amounted to approximately 71% of the combinations in the old game. (It actually would have been a little higher percentage because of the smaller number pool.)Thinking back, I recall that was the approxi

Wheeling
Well there are two schools of thought when it comes to wheeling. Use more numbers in your wheel which gives more coverage or use fewer numbers and have more concentrated combos. I am of the school of using fewer numbers. I feel my odds are better of winning if I trap the winning numbers if fewer numbers are in the wheel. Even if I only trap five of the numbers, I can win multiple second tier prizes and third tier prizes as well. A wheel with 20-25 numbers you could trap all six numbers and still

Zillion/1?
Abnormal dvent? Sure. Unusual? Uh, huh. Possibility? Yes. It's a game with comparatively few possibilities, given the conditions under which ordinary lotteries operate. When a game is drawn, those numbers are set - part of the record, etched in stone, whatever. The chances of drawing those same numbers the next game are still 1::18,424. No going into probability, no nothing. If that game is drawn once a day, 365 days a year, the odds are that this dvent will occur once every 50 years or so witho

Zillion/1?
No goose. Normal are things that happen regularly. This dvent is not normal. I would even go so far as to say it is weird. I'd put my money on fraudulent activities in that particular lotto game. The odds lean towards a fixing of the game.I dont know if that game is computer picked or uses a ball machine. But either way, I say sombody forgot to turn the cheat counter and screwed up the rotation. In other words, Those numbers were never meant to come up consecutivley.

Probability of a rollover in PB and MM
well thanks for your insulting replies.1.yes you are taking wild guesses at what the sales figures are. sales have fluctuated allot lately at the 100 + million mark. even megamillions and powerball don't know them and have to guess on the conservative side they later will increase the jackpot based on tickets sold and whatever they can get an annuity at the time.2.where are these figures on rising pots and % of quickpick. i'll tell you where - in your head (or ass since they are assumptions) sin

Big game rules??
Some info from the old PlayBigGame.com Web site:The Lottery Directors of the original member states of Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan and Virginia created The Big Game in 1996. Sales for the game began in the previously mentioned states on August 31, 1996. The first drawing took place on September 6, 1996.After successful growth of the game in 1997, a Tuesday drawing was added in February of 1998 and players were given a larger numbers matrix to choose from and a lump sum

i think your numbers are off.the sales in mega/powerball at the 170-180 level very between 45 at the low end and 75 at the high end. even at the half way point (60 mil) and assuming 10% are matching numbers (a number impossible to really guess since no one publishes this information) that would mean that about 40% of all combinations are covered and the probability of a roll-over is at 60%of course the smaller the sales or if there are less matching numbers the odds would increase for a rollover

Are Lotteries Rigged
Quote: Originally posted by golotto on February 14, 2004 Lottery commisions are not as paranoid as some make it sound. There attitude is the same as the casino. They don't really care about the winners as long as the win was legit. They make their money on the odds.I would be concerened if they begin using technology to pick the numbers because that randomness can definitely be controlled. When casinos have slot tourneys they setup the machines to be very lose, which means the players will hit mo
