Sums in Pick-3 good or bad?
Sums are just one more tool. I never understood the value of Sums before because there was not an even distribution of the numbers on the 1 through 37 chart. Now that there is a 10 column chart we can apply math averages and probability. Now we can vector in on groups of numbers. Sums by themselves are not an answer, but on those times when other indicators are vague they sometimes help cut the odds. Sometimes it's one more confirmation.

Probability of a rollover in PB and MM
With much better odds and a much lower probability of rolling over. According to lottoreport, the total sales for the last $180 million dollar lottery were 75 million, meaning that there were at minimum (not allowing for the Poison distribution effects) a 55 million ways for the jackpot to roll over once again. 55/130 = 0.423 means that that particular lottery had 42% chance of rolling over at minimum based solely on the number of tickets sold. Actually though some sets of numbers are covered

LottoSync v1.7 issues !!
Caveat Emptor ... holds true in lotto also, or maybe 'especially in lotto'.The way I see it nobody is forcing anyone to buy the system, if anything Guru has shown restraint in that respect in my opinion. He's openly discussing his progress in improving the program if not revealing the nitty gritty of the engine itself (that part would probably be beyond comprehension of lot of ppl here, self included). Compare that to others who have shamelessly tried to flog systems that are known not to work a

Probability of a rollover in PB and MM
Quote: Originally posted by dvdiva on February 05, 2004 i think the likelyhood of it breaking 200 is far more remote. like 5% at most. although in the unlikely avent that happens it would break 200. It would be interesting if you would post the mathematics by which you come to this 5% number since it seems to disagree with the Poisson distribution calculations that I have described here. My calculations BTW seem perfectly reasonable since the Powerball last year exceeded $300 million in spite

Numbers

Daily games, Play one set of numbers each day, or play the same amount of money once a week, with more numbers ie bigger wheeling system ? Since you should play only on the days you think you can win, there is a certain utility value to a flexiable system where you can do what's necessary within the budget

Probability of a rollover in PB and MM
Well look at it this way Hyper, you are 520,687 more likely to win the MegaMillions jackpot with a single ticket than you were likely to be conceived with your exact genetic makeup. (And this ignores the low probability of your parents meeting and falling in love.) Yet here you are.If you really want to beat even longer odds, go out and buy two quick picks. The probability of you getting the two sets of numbers that are printed are roughly 1 in 2X10^16. This means if you had spent the last

What's wrong with Virginia?
Quote: Originally posted by poobear on January 31, 2004 I only play the lottery once or twice a month, but I like to look and see who wins and in what states. It seems to me that Virginia lottery players never win. When it comes to the Mega game, Virginians don't even win the second prize: $175,000. People in other states always seem to win. That's why I don't play much, it seems that Virginia tickets are never worth anything.Anybody else think that or am I way off base? It's not that Virgini
