PA's new game 'Match Six'
Does anyone understand this new game?? Match 6 Lotto 3 sets of 6 numbers is 3 times 6 = 18 numbers. It's a 6/49 game and the minimum is $500K so the more numbers you pick the less you win like playing keno??Match 4 to 10 numbers??Match 6 Lotto is based on three sets of six numbers from 1 to 49 and promises a minimum $500,000 jackpot that rolls over if no one wins. The top prize is offered for matching all six numbers on one line; smaller prizes are awarded for matching three to five numbers on

Not Possible
Quote: Originally posted by rookiecrd1 on December 21, 2003 Statistically it is not possible to have a prediction method for lotteries. Each addition number that is picked is independant from all other #'s picked in the past. Once established the distribution tends to continue, trends so to speak. Therefore we have positioning probabilit

PA Super Six is going away...
The stupid 6 is finally going! Never liked it from the beginning. To think that it was here 5 years. It has to rank in the top 3 as one of the worse games ever. Now let's see what the brains in the lottery come up with next. They say people want a better game with better odds. That's suppose to be the new game. I know, went till it comes out to make an opinon.

PA Super Six is going away...
We really should probably withhold judgement until we see the actual posted odds from the PA Lottery and really get a chance to digest the rules.Frankly, I applaud the PA Lottery for trying unusal rules with it's games. As a PA player I feel like I have a choice in the different types of games we can play. Cash 5 is a very good 5/39 game. Powerball is the best multi-state game (in my opinion). And while I wasn't a big fan of Super 6, I did like the 3 plays for a $1 concept. Something that appear

Lottery Pools - Your Thoughts??
Playing in Lottery Pools should be like investing in a Mutual Fund. You should have it professional managed and people who are professional in selecting numbers.I would like to see some return on my investment. Granted your talking about gambling with much higher odds. The Lottery Pools should be limited to a certain number of people at a set number of playing dollars. The pool should inform you of what numbers that they are playing and a reason for playing them. Hey, it's your money don't you wa

Worst US lottery game?
When ever Ohio has changed its on-line lottery games in the past, it has been to make them harder and pay less, another such change and they will attract fewer players. Adding MegaMillions bought in extra players and I don't look for them to change much unless the adjacent states make some major changes to their games. They did a survey earlier this year to see what changes the players would like to see and I doubt if any one suggested worst odds and smaller payouts. They are trying $10 and $2

To settle this feud once and for all
ants, What a worthless idea! The problem with lottoking centers on him being an attention whore, and continually posting nonsense, and lies to get that attention. You're idea doesn't address that problem at all. You fail to realize what we all know is that the odds don't change for any of us, even lottoking. We canned this very idea awhile back, where were you? Wake up and address the problem, but spare us the nonsense that just fans the flames of what some of us suspect is a mental probl

hyperbolic sine/psuedo-random number?
What is forgotten here is if that a PRNG or RNG is seeded with the same number at the start, regardless of the method used, that generator will yield the same sequence of numbers it did at the latest time it was seeded with that number. This is not to say anybody is cheating, it is to say the possibility is there if you know what to do and when and how to do it. Incidentally, I'm not paranoid. I don't normally play. I'm reasonably familiar with the operation of a computer and I can compute odds.

Numeric frequency theories do not apply
That's why I don't rely on Luck or if I'm meant to I will how about If you want it go get it don't wait around for numbers to hit find a way to increase the odds in your favor and select your own numbers through analysis.I prefer wheeling a good amount of numbers and applying a reasonable amount of filters and play anywhere from 10-30 combo's in the Daily games. Not everyday of course just 2 or 3 times a week that makes it easier to see Bias in action which gives you those patterns and tr

What a program needs to be good ...
These rates are extraordinary. A full wheel of 8 numbers generates C(8,5)=56 combinations. If the florida 5 game has 45 numbers (I don't know how many thery are), the whole set of combinations is C(45,5)=1221759. Having all 5 winning numbers within this set of 8 you choose, has a chance of 56/1221759=0.004%. So, probably this 96% or even 73% is a misunderstanding. The chance of having just one winning number in a group of 8, for the above game, is C(8,1)*C(37,4)/C(45,5)=528360/1221759=43.24%. Is
