lottery
There is little theoretical correlation between a number set drawn today and 100 draws ago. However, there is some empirical correlation between a set drawn today and the last 5-10 draws. The most obvious is the fact that almost never do 3 or more numbers repeat from draw to draw. There are about 25 other observations of this general nature which can be utilized in this manner and I continue to work on such a system. Even so, you might reduce the odds from 1 in 15,000,000 to 1 in 5,000,000 and

Today's Experiment...
I usually limit my lottery playing to the Pick 5 and Jackpot games and avoid Pick 3 and Pick 4 games because of the low prize amounts and the fact that the numbers have to be drawn in order to get top prize. But today I decided to give the Pick 4 a try because the odds are better . So I bought 25.00 worth of .50 straight wagers to get 50 tickets for the mid-day drawing. The outcome:5 tickets had 2 matching numbers in correct position for straight set14 tickets had 1 matching numbers in correct p

lottery formula
SHTh,There are 18424 possible combinations of threes in a 49 number field. If you have the formular for coming up with the 13983816 combinations of sixes then modiy it for three. To find the frequency of match 3's, you can use an odds calculation which will be pretty close to the real answer you get by checking each file record with the total file. I don't use excel and don't have a copy of it, but I have a routine(program) that I wrote in GWBasic that works for me. The same routines are in

Winning the Jackpot Prize
TC:If I didn't use my system to pick all my #'s including the MB or PB, explain to me why I can come so close to the #'s that actually hit all the time, and even sometimes win some $ using my system rather than buying QP's?I certainly couldn't come that close buying QP's all the time...Systems do work... It improves your % to win the BIG one. And yes, past draws do help you make that decision of what #'s to pick for your next game. There are all kinds of Stats that improve your odds of win

Cash VS Annuity IV
If the rules for the winners should be changed based on age, why not consider religion, marital situations, annual income and etc. After all why should people who plan to give most of their winnings to their church have to pay taxes. Why should a single winners be treated the same as a married winner with a spouse and kids to feed. Why should anyone with a low income and little knowledge of how to manage large sums of money be given all that cash with a lump sum payment. If a person doen

Increasing Odds of Winning..SOS
Last evening I participated in Todd's Floridia challenge for LottoCheatah to post 5 lines for the lottery drawing, I posted 7 lines but all six numbers hit in the first 5 lines and I matched 3 on the first line. I have notice that many times when I play more than 10 lines for a drawing, if I hit anything worth a payout, it happen in the first ten and many times in the first 5. It could be that 5 lines are almost(odds wise) as good as 100 lines and playing more lines doesn't increase your chanc

Increasing Odds of Winning..SOS
Short of playing more lines, I haven't found a way to better the odds. I try to avoid repeating small combinations. When you wheel numbers, this can't be avoided, but if all the winning numbers are in the wheel, it will work to your advantage. I prefer not to wheel a small group of numbers but rather play all the numbers and limit the amount by not repeating combinations and playing within parameters of previous winners. The good thing about coming to this forum, you can get some ideas and t
