we're hittin pic 4 in hit'sville in july
I've play them all, LOL, and looked into a lot of systems. They're all based on one fallacy or another. Any game were you play against the person who sets the odds, you are going to lose. The house always wins. Period. Yes, there are better and smarter ways to play, but in the end, you lose. If I did play pick 3 or 4 I would definitly pick my own numbers. The only thing I play now is poker. Regular cards with other people. Just for fun. And Powerball. When the Powerball jackpot gets over $100 mi

If you know at least one number!
Quote: Originally posted by orangeman on May 31, 2003 WinDGood idea! I modified Steve's system into a two key number system that allows you to pick two numbers out of 10. If one, either or both numbers come up, you win. I have even taken care of the doubles issue. The only problem is that it takes a large number of tickets to play this system. You end up making only a 25% profit, but your odds are fantastic. Are you interested in learning more?Orangeman i would like to learn it,please

Seeing patterns where none exist
Good I'll quit right now......... I'm ahead. Pay up baby face ! Seriously, you are frustrating but I think it's fascinating that someone of your obvious abilities could have escaped any interest in math or probability. At first I thought you were putting us on. Now, I think its funny. It does bother me that in a Forum full of inexperienced players.......and there are many....that they will waste there chances on quick-picks. I'm talking about pick 3/4 . Hell....I do quick picks on everything el

The Ultimate Lottery Strategy
Your obviously not a strategist so you wouldn't understand my friend, why the hell would I want to wait 3-10 yrs for a set of numbers to come up? just because the odds say 1:1000 doesn't mean if I PLAY 369 that it will come up in 3 yrs it may not come up at all. Some numbers haven't been drawn in the Pick-3 here in FL for over 5 yrs and others not at all there are too many numbers for them to follow a time table. We had a Pick-3 number come up twice in 1 week 3 days apart and I have a friend who fo

Seeing patterns where none exist
Why does anyone debate about anything? Forums usually inspire debate and discussion. I haven't called anyone stupid, or insane. I haven't sent anyone gay porn in their email. I don't think nor have I said that lottery system sellers are crooks taking advantage of the hopeless. Frankly, on a personal level, I don't care how you spend your money. It's a debate. A rather good debate, because it involves not only facts, but personal belief and faith. Had I realized that this was some people's religi

All a matter of luck
Quote: Originally posted by Thomas Covenant on July 11, 2003 It seems that 70% of winners use quick picks. Which fits because 70% of the players buy quick picks. It would seem that if lottery systems were worth a damn, they would take a higher percentage of the jackpots. Thomas: The idea is to give out smaller prizes to keep people buying in hopes of winning the jackpot. That's why they make the jackpot odds much higher than the rest. As you can see the bigger the jackpot the bigger the sales. T

Beating The Lottery
The ideal situation for beating the powerball would be to be able to consistently pick 3 of the 5 white balls (odds are 1:260). Then wheel the 42 PB's, play the 3 numbers on every ticket and change up the other 2, hoping to catch the JP or a 5 White Ball match.you would then spend $42you would make (minimum) $345 per drawing (after recovering the initial $42... after that it would all be their money you play on)on the second drawing, you would double up using the powerplay (42 tix, $84) Mini

Math and probability help or not ?
Future draws are not effected by past results. That is a Law of Probability. That pretty much ends it right there. This isn't something I made up. Really think about it. Forget about the math, sums, odds, evens, hot , cold , etc. Ignore numbers. Just think about the balls bouncing around in a container. How is it possible that they can follow any sort of pattern for any length of time? Maybe they have slight differences in the balls.(Unlikely, they are rigorously tested), But they randomly cha
