Going for Four
For the rest of this month and probably for most of June I'm going for four. I have never hit the 4 digit straight, so that's my goal. I realize the odds are bigger in the 4 digit game, but I just love a challenge. I like to play doubles (ex. 0071) they pay out better boxed and are easier to hit straight. So for about a month I'm dropping the 3 digit game in favor of Win Four. I would like to know what everyones stragety is when it comes to the 4 digit game, please post any ideas. Take care ever

TODD-Re: MEGA
ROW,It will be interesting to watch the first time the Mega Millions jackpot progresses. I think it will grow faster than the old Big Game, but I'm not sure exactly how fast.As for an equal 6/49 jackpot having better odds, you're right! The difference is that Mega Millions has much better lower-tier prizes. For example, if you hit 5 of 6 in NJ, you might get about $2,500. In MM, if you hit the first 5 numbers, you get $175,000. There are also more ways to win (total of nine). Each game has pluses

Need Another Strategy!
We are all smart enought to know that lottery is an unfair zero sum gambling. The lottery corporation have big advantages over the players. Beside the overhead cost, the residual is so huge for the lottery corporation. However, this is the rule, you can't have other channel to invest you $1 for millions. The only solution for lottery players is to choose the lotto that have highest Payouts/Odds^(-1) or Payouts/Combination ratio. If we are smart to play, the market will eliminate the worst, and hav

Why "patterns" and "systems" CANNOT win!
Prayer does work. Numerous times in my life, , my back was against the wall, and I prayed. And my wishes came true. Sometimes I wonder was it a coincidence that my prayers came true? No, what are the odds that every time I pray that my wish comes true. I am a millionaire. I prayed to win the lottery, and it came true. You can't just pray . You have to have it in your heart. Plus, there is a specific prayer, that few people know. That prayer ALWAYS works. That prayer won me money. You have to ma

An interesting hypothetical question
I wouldn't hold it against the person since the odds of hitting the lower tier prizes are better than winning the big money. We all know that lower-tier prizes are not pari-mutual. Each ticket matching the first five numbers gets a $150,000 payout. It doesn't matter how many tickets you are holding.I personally wouldn't play the same numbers more than twice. If I routinely spent $10 per draw on the Big Game (which I don't). Using this strategy I would cover five different number sets.I would not

Seek Help
Don't know why I feel compelled to help out his rock character. But here it goes... If 90% of the mney raised by the lottery commission is in the form of small purchases, then 90% of the winners will be those who made small purchases. Likewise, if most people buying tickets are not rich, then most people winning will not be rich prior to winning. This does not mean that the odds of winning are less for rich people buying lots of tickets.Think of this way, the majority of people who catch a ball

If it sounds to good to be true it usually is folks
You will not win, I will not win, no one posting on this board will win the jackpot. You understand? I've prayed, meditated, cried, begged, and you know what? I never won! There is no system! You can't predict the lottery! All you do is just pick a bunch of numbers and hope that you win, which is unlikely! Millions will play only one or two will win. So, you Rock are so cocky and arrogant, will most likely not win. You could win, I could win, all it takes is one dollar. But, the odds are against

Big game fix completed; Powerball will go to 400 million by
It is against the odds that 44 tickets would have the first 5 numbers andnot one of them had the bonus number 6. They had 44 tickets to coverall 36 numbers but somehow didn't do it. Not inconceivable, but unlikely.Hmmm. The point is moot now because the BG is ending, but I've come to thinkthe best strategy is to make it a 1 in 36 game by picking the same BG numberon every ticket and varying the first 5. If your BG number comes up,you will at least recoup your entire investment and then as a big

Too much??
How much money is enough is really a matter of personal taste. For the average working stiff who desires nothing more than a Corvette and a big screen TV, one million dollars might be enough to last him a lifetime. For someone who wants a 6,000 square foot home in Palm Beach (four million dollars), a few Ferraris and Lamborghinis and such, twenty million might do the trick. For the kind of guy who wants a 40,000 square foot house (thirty million), a three hundred foot yacht (one hundred million)

80 MIL avg. ???
If the lottery players are rational enought and response with buying lottery ticket at higher jackpot level! Then the problem maybe low lottery sales, and low jackpot growth.Although every drawing (day) are independent (where a jackpot winner or not) is not going to affect the next one. It is anticipated that it take more draw to have a jackpot winner. As expected % increase in sales can not catch up % increase in odds! Also, as the properties of independent of every drawing, it may take hundreds
