Do some number combinations have better odds?
Odds, what nots, dead ends, circular arguments, waste of time.
When I became an LP member 10 years ago, I admit I didn't know much about lotteries and how
to choose winning numbers, or any numbers for that matter.
At the time, it seemed that everyday posters were serious players looking for an edge. Sure, there were some disagreements but there was a lot of sharing. One could ask for assistance and someone would step up and offer rationale ideas and solutions.
Then, as now, it was ra

The importance of backtracking - the lessons I learned.
I used to play Pick 3 lottery for some time but generally with little success (doesn't it sound familiar to most folks?). At first I observed the numbers for a while and then picked a set of my personal favorites. I played them over and over again. But I seldom had any success with them - they did not want to come up, at least not in sequences I used for playing.
I also used to play Lotto 649 before and experience from it gave me some insights. Personally I prefer prediction methods based on

By Todd Northrop
There will be a lot of daydreaming going on this week around America.
Dreaming about what it would be like to win a half-billion dollars.
That's because Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing did not produce a winner, sending the game into uncharted territory. The new jackpot for Friday, March

Atheist converts after mock prayer to win $1M lottery is answered
i was thinking of that yesterday, the familiarity quotient , just because you naturally have a heightened sense of an awareness about something when something does come across your path.
irregardless that it is more noticeable, in and of itself it is not the means for qualification.

the only possiblity where it leaps over the line from 'coincidence' and a 'ah hum scenario that starts to get your attention to seek credibility, is time.

Backtesting and Simulating Lottery Systems
JIMBO
Ive been waiting on your backtest since you started you fooled by random post. You now want to do a backtest
that involves using 5 or 6 digits. Wow, I could have posted these results before the first draw. When you come up
with a method that can match my ability making selections then test away. Lets say that I did play everyday and
I played 6 digits. 40% of the draws fall into this range so it would cost me $229,473 per day to play all the combos
or $83,757,645 dollars per

Do not get burned by this service station!
In response to b$Rizzle, No I don't think all of the prizes are at the first of the roll, just a quite a few of them. All I asked was for honesty, but I did not ask, it was implied. I have trusted the lottery up until this point. Not to win in every certain number of tickets, but to be given a fair chance. Think about it for a moment, if the last tickets in the book never had any big winners in them, then they would just sit on the shelf with no one buying them. I have over 60 that say that they

Tenn. players picked up on new odds before lottery revealed glitch
Updated! Includes illustrative charts below.
Somebody knew. Or somebody caught on.
An analysis of 55 million tickets played in the Cash 3 and Cash 4 lottery games shows that in August, more people started playing the numbers most likely to come up.
That is the time period when a glitch in a new computerized system of picking numbers prevented duplicating combinations such as 1-1-2 or 3-3-3-3 from being drawn.
A Tennessean computer analysis indicates that players either knew or figu

What would I do with the Virginia Lottery.
I'm going to open the floor for Cash 5. I can come up with a lot of things that Cash 5 could improve on, but also a lot of things that are great as is (namely the top prize to odds ratio). So tell me anything Cash 5 could do better and I'll see if it would work.
An all-new game!
