A dollar and a dream true for PB and MM?
Actually there are 3,478,761 white ball combinations. The reason why the PowerBall website lists your odds of getting 5/5 + 0 as 1 in 3,563,608.83 has to do with this statement from the PowerBall website:
YOUR ODDS / PROBABILITIES ARE WRONG.
A common question is why the odds for winning the prize for matching 1 red ball out of 42 is not 1 in 42. The answer is that you must match the red ball ALONE to win the prize. If you match one or more white balls, you win some other prize, but

A&E lottery show
You've basically suggested a pick 15 game where there are 36 digits to choose from instead of 10, and that's a much grander scale than any existing lotery game. It's a good analogy, but the actual numbers make the numbers in PB or MM look small.Extremely small. The chances of getting a specific outcome in that game would be 1 in 221,073,919,720,733,357,899,776. You're about 1,258 trillion times more likely to pick the right combination in megamillions. So why is it still a good analogy? Becau

How can the odds be that high with only 42 numbers to pick from?
I'm not a math wizz, but you would think that the odds would be something like..............1:42??

New Jersey couple wins $3 million lottery prize six months after winning $1 million
A husband-and-wife team defied insurmountable odds 0
Apparently the odds were completely surmountable.
That's not how probabilities are calculated at all.
That's exactly how odds are calculated.
For instance, the odds of someone winning both PB MM jackpot would be 1 in 292M*290M.
That's the odds of winning both games if you buy only a single ticket for each game. If you buy 10 tickets for each game the probability of winning either is increased tenfold to 1 in 29.2 and 1 i

Predicting winning numbers? Fact or fiction?
I have no problem winning here in Ohio. Since Sept. 03, 2020, I have spent $751 and got back $891. That is a profit of $140 for positive ROI of 18.64%. Now I know it's not an earth shattering amount of profit, BUT it is a profit.
In that time, I have collected on 2 4/5 wins, 15 3/5 wins, and 141 2/5 wins playing RC5.
The odds for a 4/5 win in OH RC5 game are 1 in 3,387 (I hit 2 in 751 = 1 in 375.5)
The odds for a 3/5 win in OH RC5 game are 1 in 103 (I hit 15 in 751 = 1 in 50.06)

Lotto Max (Canada) Odds
While visiting Canada last week and having briefly entered a convenience store, I took an passing, casual interest in their lotto games, so I picked up a few play slips. I like to calculate odds as a mental challenge, and I turned my attention to the Lotto Max game, which appears to be the largest jackpot lotto in Canada. It is a nationally pooled lottery with ticket sales through regional or provincial administrations. This is a roughly similar structure to Powerball and Mega Millions in the U.

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Lies. You just want to stop by the Piggly Wiggly because of the name.
Are you going to buy any scratchoffs from any other states along the way? Some of the GA tickets look interesting, but I think the odds suck. Honestly, we complain about some of the odds on these FL games, but they look incredible compared to some other states.
Colorado has some interesting game designs, I'd love to make over there one day to try some. They have a $50 scratchoff with odds:

To strategize or not to strategize? That is the question
I find it interesting because people would argue whether buying two tickets cuts the odds is half.
When there were a few states with two plays for a dollar the game odds were given as half that of a lottery with one dollar plays without a whole lot of explanation as to why.
That's basic probability theory. You buy two combinations your odds are 2:(whatever it was)
If a lottery has a pool of numbers just: 1, 2, 3
and if two numbers get drawn then all possible combinations are:

Georgia Lottery Scratch Offs
Sorry to hear that. I'm still struggling to resist more often. I don't spend nearly what I used to, but I'm still going over by a little bit on my ideal spending limit per month.
The new tickets are out, so I'll break down my quick thoughts.
I said I'd never play 5s again unless they had similar odds to 2K a week for life. Well this $5 monopoly has close enough odds to that. It has literally the same odds as 2k a week for life basically. $5 Monopoly has great odds to win $100 b
