Congrats to you on your scratch wins....I won on one yesterday too and had won on one recently so that makes 4 now....just posted them others on your thread. Those are bad odds to win on (that's why I call them bad odds cards but I think the thing that keeps me playing them is the fact that I know if I win it's going to be either $100 or $50 and I keep up with how many have been sold at one store so when I think it's about time for one to win I buy one...that's how I won the on

Lottery strategy: fact or fiction?
when just onthe sheer amount of odds it's virtually dam nearimpossible to apply anything of logic against the insane high odds. maybe a super computer programmed by a human may one day do it but not by any human with math alone, it can't be done D*** near indicates a daunting task at hand, but not totally impossible..!! In all your seemingly acceptance of numerical doom gloom,.. you've overlooked a wealth of profound logic in YOUR own statement..!! Any computer, Super or not, wa

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Well I don't think your math was totally bad, as I broke out the spreadsheet earlier and had a little fun trying the develop a means to determine game sales pace, and from what I can see the Blowout has indeed had very strong sales. See if the following adds up/makes sense... Using the data on the Lotto site I simply totaled the Total Prizes, and Prizes Remaining: Prize Amount Total Prizes Prizes Remaining $500.00 56,303 10,911 $100.00 1,593,462 305,803 $5

What's the Purpose of the Printed Time of Purchase on Tickets, If Drawing is 15 min to 1 hr Later?
Ok Stat$talker, help me (and others) to understand your concern over timestamps on lottery tickets, mainly PB and MM. You are questioning the cut-off time for purchasing PB and MM tickets. Is that correct? (FYI, cut-off times are NOT the same across the U.S. as you assumed in one of your earlier posts.) So now you are concerned that the lottery is looking for players, such as yourself, so they (the lottery) can analyze their plays, looking for any strategy that may be a threat to the lotte

What's the Purpose of the Printed Time of Purchase on Tickets, If Drawing is 15 min to 1 hr Later?
.... Huuuum , yea you and I do have a different understanding of the meaning of Probability... But that's what forums like these are for... meeting of the like minded ... But now, your examples of the horses and sports teams, scratch-off ticket are expressing odds , not probability.. As I have said before,.. Probability and Odds are 2 different things..ask any Math Professor.. pick up any good book on Probability, it will tell you that.. Again, a simple analogy is in order here..

Help with wheels question for 5/39 lottery
Why do I say it's rigged?...because it IS.!! If the odds are so astronomical.. then how do YOU explain how 3 people won that $1.5 Billion jackpot awhile back?.. not only did they beat the supposedly 1 in 292 Million odds,.. but all 3 accomplished it on the same night..!! I know that we all know somebody somewhere that has expressed disgust at their having played their pet Cash3, 4 digits religiously for awhile,.. only to have them miraculously fall the very day they'd take a financial bre

After 20 years of playing the same lottery numbers, Delaware man wins $25,000 a year for life
Ever since he won $500 in the lottery 20 years ago, one 65-year-old New Castle, Delaware, man has been playing the same numbers over and over, hoping they'd pay off again. On Sept. 9, they finally did, winning him $25,000 per year for life in the Lucky for Life drawing. The man, who wished to remain anonymous, purchased the ticket at Dave's Liquors in New Castle, the state lottery office said. He matched all five numbers. I thought I was dreaming, the man said when he learned that h

Predicting winning numbers? Fact or fiction?
Hey timmsy I've not won any big amounts with any of my work so far. Life took me out of the game off and on quite a bit so my work got cut down a lot. Life happened and I recently got back into it to put me where I am now and am able to put more time into this. Since I've been able to get back into it with the attention it needs, I've been doing pretty good with it. As far as what I'm looking for anyway. I'm getting either 2 or 3 numbers correct nearly every time I play with the others usuall
