How Random is Random?
Pick3 and Pick4 are the only lotteries that meet the criteria of each outcome has an equal chance. Each draw is one number out of a possible 0 - 9 complete ball set (1 in 10 of any number from any individual set.)
However, the three numbers that result from the drawings produce combinations that have different odds. 3 of the same digit only has 10 possibles; two of the same has 270 possibles; 3 different digits have 720 possibles.
Why does pulling one number from three complete 0 - 9 ball

Powerball changing in October to generate bigger jackpots
Beautiful...going from 1/175 Mil to 1/292 Mil ??
Goal is to make it more difficult to win the jackpot -
sales have slumped since 2013
In N.Y.(2014) sales plummeted 44%
Nationwide sales declined nationally by 19% last year because there was no huge jackpot --Might call BS on that no huge jackpot
2014- 4 jackpots over 200 Million, 2013- 6 jackpots over 200 million, 2012 - 5 jackpots over 200 million, 2011 - 4 jackpots over 200 million, 2010 - 3 jackpots over 200 million

Indicators?
This is a great observation CT!!!
Thanks! I see it now!
Previously I did not used to pay attention to the pick 3, but since I am doing a terrible job in the JP games, I am modifying my excel charts for pick 3.
A simple pattern similar to the one your alluding to CT, is that I find that in one draw ( does not neccessarily have to be mid to eve, can be eve to mid)
is that say the draw was 052. I have noticed that the 2 in the third position will move to the second.
Now there is no r

South Carolina Scratchers!! What is going on?
Eh, winning is hit or miss in South Carolina, at least that's been my experience. There's been times where I hit something decent (I've already hit $500, $200 and a few $100 wins on scratchers this year) and times where the cards were just complete let downs. I don't think South Carolina tickets have better odds than Georgia, however. It was South Carolina odds that made me go to Georgia to start buying tickets in the first place. I was putting all this money in and never hit anything over $500

I see your in PA so I suggest that you start with your 5-30 game. The odds for hitting the first 3 digits
are 1 in 143, you have to count 00 and the first 4 are far less than a standard pick-4. The MSD is the
leftmost digit and the LSD is the rightmost digit. When playing a 5-30 the first pair of digits will be 00 to 14
which is far less than that of a standard P-3 game. The overall odds are the same as if picking numbers
but the lexie is a little more forgiving. It's possible to mis

Finally , a number that made sense..and didn't defy all the odds.. congrats C Town and anyone else who hit ...
alright ..... well looking at it ..... i see v4 (3,8) is missing 6 evening drawings (rarely do they make it past 4 ) so Im only looking at numbers with 3 or 8 to start.
Now I also notice that v5 is missing 4 evening drawings.... so v45 or ( 34 39 84 89) look pretty good.... the due vtrac is v3 ... so v34 doesn't look too bad either...
so ( 23 28 73 78) ..... the due overall di

You still have 10 possible choices. Using horizontal and vertical like above would reduce to 2 steps but
we have the same number of choices overall. 3*4=12 with 4-1 and 4-3 not being used. The only real
thing that would make it better is if the data was easier to predict which I have found not to be the case.
I ran many test using different methods of coding the digits and the 3-step method showed best but I was
looking mostly for consistent data patterns. The idea, was

Interesting Powerball Results Last Night
I'm wondering if this will be like the PB drawing some years back in FL ... when four people all in the same county all had the same QP set of numbers print out ... they did not know each other and all four tickets were bought at four different lottery terminals in the county ... four different RNGs ... happened in June 2012.
Also, just like last night ... one ticket in 2012 was also a Power Play.
